How bizarre if these were the dogs spotted by Gazeley Park although there is a gypsy camp in a layby just before there on the old A421 and these could have been dogs from the camp and not yours.Further along is a landfill site and that was my thought but drove down the road on 10th and spotted nothing - thank goodness they have returned x

I’m so pleased to see them both back!! Does rather sound like they were a bit ‘too hot to handle’ so have been returned. I guess we’ll never know but the important thing is they’re safely back home XX

Hi,I would like to thank everybody for there help but the dogs have been returned safely but mysteriously.I opened the stable door and the dogs came running out,very tired,lame but in good health! I have no explanation to this but thanks again again!

Hi Gingersmum,I am the owner of Bumble and Poppy and spoke to Mercedes last night and the dogs were seen running towards Bedford close to Gazely Park and the large Asda distribution centre! Many thanks

Gingersmum, the owner was going to try to speak to mercedes today to get some more information about the sighting. They have the numbers of all the Beds DW's and also of the holding kennels for that area. Thanks for keeping a look out for them.

Which part of the A421 were these dogs sighted ? the old part suggests very close to me, Marston/ Stewartby / Wootton - can the spotter confirm ? Have shared on my FB. Has anyone notified the dog warden for this area ? Last edited: 2012-01-10 10:22:50 by Gingersmum

I was passing the old A421 close to Bedford this morning at approx 10:30 am and saw 2 dags running along side the road , I was on an adjacent road and could not stop . One was a retreiver and one was a dark coloured dog about the same size as the retreiver . I know this is probably 20 / 30 miles from your home but it was strange to see the 2 dogs together . I hope this helps

Spoke to owner, this dog lives on a farm and suddenly vanished today, both dogs were in the yard together. There have been people around on bikes and walkers because of the nice weather. owner will contact vets, DW and other authorities tomorrow. There is a travellers site close by.
