Glad to hear Benson has been found. He sounds like an old rogue who doesn't like smelling sweet after a bath so thought he'd go and find himself some better smells! Hope he's now home safe and sound.

Just spoken to one very happy owner..She has assured me she will be getting Benson chipped. He does normally wear a collar with tag, but it had been taken off when he had a bath that day. She will be picking him up tomorrow and she will call me when she has him..Look forward to seeing him in the blue tomorrow :)

MDH have confirmed they have the dog. Quite skinny but ok. Im trying to get in touch with the owners to let them know the good news. Its quite worrying to think that rescues werent checked especially as he wasnt microchipped and had been missing for over 7 days. Manchester Dogs Home have said they will chip the dog free when they come to pick it up...

Thank you Jackalee, id already seen that one and contacted AW. The 253233 was found in a garden at the weekend and finder was told to keep hold of it until Monday then it was collected and taken to Manchester Dogs Home.
Theres been confusion with the different postings of breed and colour, therefore proving difficult to match up if this is Benson. When he went missing before he was found in someones garden so i feel theys a good chance it is him. As soon as i hear back from MDH i will confirm either way :)Last edited: 2011-11-30 16:37:43

Thank you Ashmark :)

Ive spoken to owner and he went missing from the garden. Its not the first time he has wondered off! He is registered with the AW but vets and rescues etc havnt been contacted yet, which concerns me with it being more than 7 days since he went missing. I have just spoken to someone in admin who works at Manchester dogs Home and he is going to check if he is there from a photo ive sent to there FB page. I have also rang Leigh Cats and dogs (even though not usually their area) and he hasnt been taken there.

Hi tw02cow' All i know is the area is Stretford M32, i will try to find out more :)

Hi, I live in M41. Is there any info as to exactly where he went missing. Am happy to go out and put posters up, just wondering where might be the best place. Thanks, Jenny

Thanks Jayne. Because this dog is so old and has already been missing for 10 days I have made up and emailed flyers, a poster and information sheets to get the search started. Local help would be appreciated.Last edited: 2011-11-30 11:27:40 by AlisonH
