As Megan's Dad, I found the Rainbow Briidge verse (& still do) very poignant, it moistens my eyes when I read it. She was Daddys Little Poppet, always trusting me to make things right, such as when she got brambles caught in her coat. I work away in the MN, but she was always so very happy to see me when I came home. Losing her at a bridge, & then finding her there, the verse is a tear jerker. I am just glad that I was home through this ordeal. It still takes a little getting used to, never to see her cheeky mischeivous grin, scruffy ear fringes, the look on her face when she went to bed at night, & all her other cheeky little habits.
Thank you so much to everyone who has given us support, & so much wanted Megan to come home. She has, but not as we all wanted, but at least she is home with us now. Thank you again.

Please will you pass our thanks on to everyone for the support and help given to us in our search for megan. We have been so thankful for the support given and it has given us strength in the past week and a half. Whilst we shall really miss her we are thankful that we have been able to bring her home and lay her to rest under her favourite tree in our back garden. Once again many many thanks to everyone.

had a call last night that led us to hope we would have megan back unfortunately it wasn't to be. so we are back out looking today. please god we find her soon.

still no luck have been out all day possible sighting in lincoln but had vanished by the time we arrived, so don;t know if it was megan or another collie still hoping she comes soon

At the moment no...person who.saw her saw her 3 or 4 times but couldnt catch her so im afraid she is still out there .... anyone around the south conmon etc please keep an eye

Yet more bridle path & field walking yesterday & still no sign of Megan. Beginning to wonder if someone picked her up in a car & is, for now, keeping her. Going back again this morning, maybe a Sunday only dogwalker saw something last week. In the meantime have found more websites & added her details, someone somewhere knows where she is, we just have to reach out & find that person.

just heard late last night a frantic dog barking was heard near south carlton . but due ti the pitchdark nothing was found the barking was after the person was calling for megan

we are out again today searching the area where we lost megan we were out from 10am till 8-30 yesterday .She may be stuck in ditch or in a building near trees.

Wishing you lots of luck, hope Megans home soon. I dont know if it advisable but we bought some great lamps from asda £12 similar to a lamping light with a fantastic beam it picks up the eyes of animals hiding,great for searching early morning.Tays mum Gail xxx

just had a phone call a very nrevous tri border collie seen near aisby this morning .family have left to search there as its not too far for her to have got there we are checking any leads thanks everyone

Have had new hope for finding megan we believe she is very near to where we lost her have been out looking till it was too dark to continue tonight. It is thought she is in woods near to south carlton very scared .We will be out at first light tomorrow. MANY THANKS to everyone who is helping in the search we cannot say how much we appreciate it.

they have been out a few hours looking around and have had no luck so far :(...we are going to continue the search all over and urge people that if they see any dog that doesnt look to have an owner please try and catch them and take them to a vet or something x

Owners have just had a call saying a dog matching Megan's description has been seen on the common. Unfortunately the caller didn't say which of the 2 commons but is going to visit both. Will bump to the top.

I know it is so stressful, but you are doing well - keep going. So many dogs get back home, even if you think it is impossible - nothing ever is on this site. Do not give up hope - ever! If there is a railway nearby you must notify them and try and check - you need to see if any Network Rail person has seen her. I only say this because usually railways are next to rivers. The posters will bring news, so keep them going up - hundreds of them. Good luck, keep safe precious Megan. x

Hi everyone thanks for the support and comments, we have searched all day today, put posters up all over the place and asked lots of people, we have rang lots of places, Vets, Kennels etc and as of the moment nothing has come through but we are still hopful!

Just spoken with the owner and they have done all they can but because it was the weekend they were not able to get in touch with all the authorities. They will be calling them all this morning. Farmers, game keepers, police and all locals have been made aware. Posters gone up. Biggest fear is that she has fallen in the river and owners have been searching the water and followed the flow up to the sluice gates. Have suggested they leave a piece of clothing with their smell on near to the place she went missing in case she returns. Family searched until it went dark last night and were out again at 5am this morning. Hope she is found soon.
