I'm relieved to let you all know that Blue has been traced and has been rehomed through a Great Dane rescue. He has been assessed, vaccinated and spayed and now has a new home. Good luck, big man - have a long and happy life. My thanks to all of you who cared, assisted and enquired. Could this boy now be moved into the blue, please. Jo xx

ANY DEVELOPMENTS WITH THE SEARCH FOR BLUE?
doglady
If the wife of the man or family of the man have got the chip number they would be able to find out if they have been contacted to have the chip changed, as anyone look into this............ I would have thought dewilliams42 that all rescues from the area would have been contacted, the other thing was the dog brought from a breeder because if it was may be he took it back to them.

I THOUGHT I HAD PUT A POST ON HERE BUT I'LL TRY AGAIN. I JUST THOUGHT IF THE FAMILY COULD REMEMBER HOW LONG THE GENTLEMAN WAS OUT IN THE CAR YOU MAY BE ABLE TO WORK OUT WHICH RESCUE/KENNEL HE COULD HAVE GONE TO.

Information has come to light that the registered owner of Blue went out on with him in his car on July 3rd but returned without him.
We think the owner may have placed Blue into the care of a rescue for rehoming before he died.
If this was his wishes then Blue has been in this rescue for the statatory 28 days and if rehomed then it is all legal and he is with a new family.

It would be nice to be able to confirm this and move him to reunited but difficult without confirmation. I am hoping that by posting this any rescue that took him in would be able to just confirm this.

If anyone does have further infomation they can phone doglost in strictest confidence. CJ

Have we got any more info on this I think all that as been helping with this need to know if there is any news at all.

I have sent out a few quick messages on this one just asking that everyone could hold back on this one until we can clarify a few points. More infomation has come to light and needs to be checked out as all is not clear about how or when this dog was placed either in a kennel or a rescue place. Sorry cannot give any more details at present and hope everyone helping understands.
please do not think we dont appreciate your concerns and help but just feel that you should know the present situation.

Just a thought, but how was the husband paying for the kennels? If it was not in cash, then the bank could trace it.....

There are reasons why posters are going out. The owner also has a full list of boarding kennels/rescues in North and mid wales and the north west of England or at least will have when I call round after work this evening. The local radio/papers idea is in the pipeline and the microchip people and local vets/police/dog wardens have been made aware. I have phoned several local kennels this afternoon - plus local people who I know are able to take fosters/strays just in case. Jo xxLast edited: 2011-08-18 18:37:40 by jobadger

Lady at GLYDDYN kennels has had a few phone calls and does not have Blue. She is aware and spreading the word to other kennels to try and help.

I would suggest ringing the local radio station to this area. Most kennels have radios on espceially for the dogs!! get an appeal pout and some must hear ad know where this dog is. Also again an appeal in local paper.
This dog if still in kennels is not hopefully missing as in a loose dog but more a mis placed dog. I would have thought that the kennels would have owners contact details and if no one comes forward would ring the number they hold to find out why no one has collected tBlue.
I would also phone the micro chiop company just so aware what has happened. Also ask local vets as they may know of kennels used.

Has Blue been in kennls before?? if so maybeits the same one.

Posters will help but the best way is to phone kennels direct asking if they have a great dane called Blue im residance.

Hi. I've spoken with the lady who's trying to find Blue and have got some posters in the post to her for distribution in Cricieth and Porthmadog. I've dropped some off at the vets and the local kennels. Have advised to ring the local RSPCA. Local rescues have already been informed. I will plaster the car parks here in Pwllheli and on the Llyn - the holiday season brings a lot of people in who may have seen him. Jo xx
