Sadly the dog at Gilwern, which has now been caught and is being cared for, is not William. The Gilwern dog has 2 completely white forelegs which you can't see on the pic, but which is on another pic I have. William has one black foreleg to judge from the photo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to Joe today, suggested that he speak to the owner of the Caravan Park near him, and ask the manager if he provided the envelopes with a stamp and a poster of William, if they would send it out to everyone who was staying on the site when William went missing, will send Williams photos to all the Devon rescues today, but i feel the caravan park would be a good avenue to follow, good luck Joe, we will keep looking xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts and messages. It was nice of Dog World to feature William but there is still no news. I am so sad at this time of year it seems to hurt the most and with losing Elliot Christmas has not been the same this year. I just hope and pray that the new year brings me news of William and that I will get him back. May I wish all at Dogs Lost, Jayne, Emma and all our members a Very Happy New Year and hope that 2007 will see us all reunited with our missing pets. Happy New Year Everybody. Willbobs. Joe. It's bad enough losing your dog and to suffer the added trauma of your other one passing away must be absolutely devastating. Our little fella died 6 weeks ago after 12 years with us and we're still not over it yet. We hope and pray he's returned to you soon. Keep your chin up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks everybody for your kind thoughts. William is still missing and it is now 20 months and I am still searching. I believe that someone somewhere has him and will not let us have him back. He could of course be anywhere in the country but all efforts to find him have been fruitless. I miss William so much and in August of this year I had to have my other Border Collie, Elliot, put to sleep because he had developed a liver cancer and there was nothing that the vets could do. I am distraught and the the past 20 months have not been good for me but if I could have William home for Christmas this would be the best Christmas present that I could possibly have. If all of our missing pets could be home what a fabulous Christmas we would all have. keep hoping and praying as I do that our beloved pets will be home soon. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Yours sincerely. Willbobs. Joe. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There was a possible sighting of William in the village of Sweethouse about 3 or 4 miles from Crabtree Lane. I spent all weekend in the area calling at farms and houses but there was no sign of William. I also called at the house where the people who live there was sure it was William but he has not been back. It is possible that someone may have taken him in and not coming forward. If someone has got him please come forward and let us know and we will collect him. He is our dog and we are desperate to have him back. Thank you to all of you who are looking out for him.
