Wishing you all the best, these jack russell crosses are hardy and clever, but it's time for her adventure to end. You and all concerned are doing a great job, sorry I am so far away.

I can't think of anywhere around there apart from the takeaways where she could be getting food and I've already spoken to them and given them posters. As far as I'm aware there isn't a water source in Queens Park and I can't really see anywhere sheltered enough for her to sleep. I have still got the scenting instructions so I could start scenting there easily enough tomorrow after work. Bev x

Thanks Jackalee for posting good advice.

Bev, great there is still sightings of Tia and you are getting calls. She does seem to have settled in the Queens Park area as Jackalee said you can start a feeding pattern. Is there anywhere in the area that she could be getting food already? Jan x

Bevjg. I am so please there have been sightings of Tia. Have you still got the scenting advice that Majorjet (Jan) sent to you? Is it close enough to start putting food down on a regular basis? If she keeps returning to that area it may help keep her there. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

I received a phone call yesterday from a lady who has seen Tia near Queens Park on 2 occasions last week at around 9am.

I'm still looking around all areas where she has been sighted, replacing any damaged or missing posters and handing out flyers. Bev x

There is a dogs fun day at Haresfinch park on Saturday at 12 o'clock. I have given flyers to one of the stall holders that I know. I hope to get there myself as there should be lots of dog owners and stalls there. Bev x

No more leads I'm afraid. I ring the dogs homes every day and visit them every week. I still go out every day to replace damaged posters and hand out flyers to as many people as possible. Bev x

Bev, great you are still getting phone calls. There is a strong possiblily the sighting in Queens Park is Tia area fits. With the Bank Holiday there will be more people out and about and you may get more calls.

I was alerted to a found dog advertised on the net picked up in Earlestown, this could well have been the found you refer to. There was a photo and it was not Tia, it was a black and tan. Jan x

Bumped due to sighting.
Bevjg
There has been another sighting today near Queens Park but I'm not sure how reliable it is as it was two youngs boys. They did seem pretty certain that it was her though. Bev x
Bevjg
I received a call last night from a man who had picked up a dog in Earlestown. He offered to bring the dog to my house but once we talked in more details we realised it wasn't Tia.

I visited the RSPCA and Leigh Dogs and Cats home today but Tia wasn't at either of them. Bev x
Bevjg
Tia was sighted by a young boy at around 6pm in Taylor Park today. I spent a few hours looking for her and also spoke to all the dog walkers there and they also looked for her. Bev x

I was talking to a man who spends a lot of time at Ravenhead ponds, he has been looking for Tia for the last couple of weeks. He leaves cat biscuits out for 3 stray cats every evening. Usually there a quite a few left in the bowl but on a number of occasions recently the bowl has been completely empty. We are wondering if Tia could be eating them. She wouldn't usually eat plain biscuits but if she was hungry she probably would if they were available. Bev x

I went to Manor Farm Road and by chance the first people I spoke to were a couple who picked up a small dog last night and took it to the PDSA (it was a neighbour's son who had been stroking the dog). She thought it might have been Tia so I rang the PDSA - it wasn't Tia, this dog was chipped and her owner collected her today. Jan, you're right it didn't sound like a thing Tia would do but I thought I should check it out anyway.

There is still this other dog at the RSPCA - again I don't think it is Tia but I will go and see just to make sure.

I went around all the places she has been sighted tonight and spoke to more dog owners. As soon as I start to speak to them they all ask if it's Tia. Most people have seen the posters or the story in the Star. Bev x

Bev the full postcode for Manor Road is L36 0UB, if you google it you will get a map.

Is the woman certain it was Tia? The area seems to be in a completely different direction to where she has been getting sighted. Going by the way she has been reacting it does sound odd that she would allow the boy to stroke her and also follow her.

Try the Dog's Trust 0151 480 0660 which is also in Huyton and only a few miles from Manor Road. Jan x

The RSPCA have had a small dog handed in since last night but it doesn't sound like Tia, it's a dog with a black body, brown legs, white chest and feet. I'm going to try and finish work early so I can check it out. Does anyone know the postcode for Huyton? Bev x

Its good that your posters are working the calls will come in and each time it will get closer and closer to where tia is and sooner rather than later.
Bevjg
I've just received a phone call to say that Tia was seen in Huyton last night on Manor Farm Road near to St John's shops. A lady saw her, she asked a young boy if she was his dog, he said no but was stroking her. When he walked away she followed him. I'm trying to get through to the RSPCA and then I'll phone the dog warden for that area. Bev x
Bevjg
Jan the problem is the sightings are always too late to be of any use. I feel like I'm going around in circles at the moment, covering the same ground over and over again with no result. Bev x

Bev, I was in Halewood RSPCA late this afternoon and also looked out for Tia. Jan x

I've received a phone call from a lady who saw the article in the Star. They were out walking their dog last Sunday afternoon near Blundells Hill golf course in Rainhill and a small dog pushed through the bushes near them but when it saw them it ran back where it had come from. She thinks it may have been Tia.

Last night I noticed a dog on the animal wardens site but when I checked it wasn't Tia. I had a long chat with the dog warden who answered the phone and she assured me that Tia would not be in such a sorry state in so short a time scale so there is definitely another small brown dog running loose in the area. It sounds like this dog needs to see a vet quite urgently so can everyone please look out for it around the Sutton and Thatto Heath areas?

I went to the RSPCA and Leigh Dogs home this afternoon but Tia wasn't there.

I've been out for a few hours tonight replacing damaged posters and looking around all the areas where Tia has been sighted. I also gave posters to more takeaways and restaurants. Tomorrow I will have a drive around the golf course in Rainhill but I don't really know the area. Then later I will walk around the country paths as there is another path I haven't checked out yet and I was told yesterday that it's very popular with the local dog walkers. It's another path that leads to Ravenhead ponds from Thatto Heath. Bev x

The chain can't belong to Tia as she is wearing a pink collar and isn't microchipped.

I spoke to a few people around Thatto Heath park last night and there have been a couple more sightings of her around there. I also know how she is getting from place to place. There are a number of country paths around there, one near the park and another at the bottom of Crossley Road. These lead to Ravenhead ponds where I saw Tia myself and also to Tesco and Sherdley Park and they considerably shorten her route.

I was also told that there has been another small brown dog seen running around these paths for the last couple of months. Then I received a phone call from a lady in Sutton late last night. She had been out running and saw a small brown dog but it was in a very bad way - very skinny and it looked like it had mange as all the fur down one side was missing. I don't think this was Tia as it would take longer than 3 weeks to get in such a state so maybe it's this other dog. She is going to keep an eye out for it and let me know. She did ring the RSPCA but they referred her to the dog warden so she will contact them this morning.

I am going to spend the next few days walking around these country paths (they go on for a few miles), putting up posters where I can and hand out flyers. I will continue to scent the area near Ravenhead ponds. Bev x

I live in St Georges Road parallel to Prescot Road the end towards Morrisons, I live at number 7. I have noticed that the last couple of days there has been complaints of people not clearing up after their dog has 'been to the toilet' on the pavement. I do know that the people around here do clear up after their dogs and this is unusual. My thoughts were that it could be a lost/stray dog. Also today my partner was in the little park on St Georges Road and found a chain details to follow (that was found within the last half an hour, I will try to add picture )

Another sighting. Thatto Heath Park on Friday 13th at around teatime. The lady who saw her said she did have her collar on and when she shouted Tia she seemed like she wanted to go over to her but was too afraid. She has asked me to drop off some posters and flyers at her home as she will hand them to all the shops in the area. She also has a neighbour who is very involved with the church and also the local community.

I will go to Thatto Heath park tonight to put some posters up and hand out flyers. Bev x

I've already received one call about a sighting last week in a field opposite the Smithy Manor pub in Sutton. She was there for a few days as food is left out for the birds and there is water readily available. As usual she was very scared and timid. This is the third person who says she is wearing no collar now. Bevx

No more sightings as yet. I had a look around last night and found some discarded mcdonalds food wrappers, not sure if this is from Tia. I waited in the car for about an hour but no sign of her. I'll keep checking and scenting this area. I also keep driving round all the areas where she has been sighted.

I tried to put flyers on all the cars in Chalon Way car park on Saturday but was turned away by the staff there as I may be billed by St Helens Council if any of them are thrown on the floor. I was a bit annoyed as the car boot sale on the following day always leaves a real mess behind. Bev x

I'm sure I saw Tia at around 9.30 last night but by the time I turned my car around she had gone. I've now worked out where she might be sleeping so I will be scenting that area from now on, I can't believe I didn't realise earlier as it's so obvious and it's the only reasonably safe area that's close to food and water. Two police officers who will be patrolling that area tonight have also said they will look out for her. Bev x

Hi Bev - I live on Rivington Road and I keep looking every evening and morning when I take my two dogs over to Queens Park. I have also put your poster up in Carmel College (you never know). Good luck my heart goes out to you!
Bevjg
Thank you Tig, I'll remember that.

As I now have more of an idea of the route Tia is travelling, I'm hoping she is on her way back to the Queens Park and Ellison Drive area where she is more likely to be spotted. At the moment she has been sighted twice at each place - Sherdley Park, Queens Park and Alexandra Park possibly via the canal at Tesco's and Ellison Drive.

Hopefully the story in the St Helens Star tomorrow will result in more sightings. Bev x

Bevj - I did a full sweep of Queens park and the surrounding streets around Boundary Road and back up to North Road at 9:30pm just as it was going dark - no sign but different times may give us the result we are looking for. I spent a few hours in Sherdley Park but could find no sign of Tia. The park rangers and local dog walkers were very helpful and have all taken my details and flyers so they can look for her everyday. It's so frustrating as I was driving around at 5am this morning but around the area of recent sightings.

The dog warden rang to say a dog had been handed in at the vets on Leach Lane. I knew from his description that it couldn't be Tia but I went anyway as he insisted. I was still very disapointed when it wasn't her. Despite telling the dog wardens about the sighting today, they were nowhere to be seen in the area.

I'm not sure where Tia went but she entered the park from Eaves Lane direction so I will check Sutton Park again and make sure my posters are still up, luckily I know the area reasonably well as I used to live there. Yet again posters had been torn down in Sherdley Park so I put them up again.

I couldn't see any signs that Tia had been sleeping in Sherdley nor could I see any areas that were dry and warm.

I have also acquired some helpers around Queens Park and Ellison Drive - 2 groups of children are printing out posters and flyers at school, handing them out and asking people about Tia. They are all very keen to help and are determined to find her for me.

With regards to Taylor Park - I have put posters up at all entrances, given flyers to the rangers who have also put up posters on the notice board and have spoken and handed out flyers to lots of people there. The rangers don't really want posters up in the park.

Thank you everyone for your help and support it's much appreciated. Bev x

There is a lake at Alexandra Park which she could get a drink from as Dodger had a drink there on Friday. She's always been a dog for drinking from lakes as she always does that at Taylor Park. I can't think of anywhere else where she could get a drink. I think Alexandra Park may be her 'safe place' as there are also some sheltered areas around there. There is a very small park at the end of Ellison Drive but it's fenced off and unless someone leaves the gate open she couldn't get in there - it was wide open this morning though.

There are a couple of chip shops and takeaways on the route she appears to be travelling on. I could check them out again.

I've had a phone call from the St Helens dog warden this lunch time just asking how I'm getting on. He also mentioned a trap but said she needs to be seen regularly in one place for it to work. Bev x

Hi Michelle, I was in Taylor Park yesterday too but from 3pm-5pm. It also sounds like we are using the same chat up line. I've even taken to stopping my car and speaking to random dog walkers on the street .

Jan, Tia has been spotted in Queens Park twice now, I found out late yesterday that she was spotted there last Sunday at approx 11am and she came from the direction of Ellison Drive. I know she was spotted there last Wednesday but I don't know at what time. I've had a good look around the park but there doesn't seem to be anywhere warm and dry that she could be holed up in. I have put up a lot of posters in the back streets that form the route from Ellison Drive to Queens Park and the post lady I spoke to will also be posting flyers around there. There is a little park at the bottom of Ellison Drive but mostly the gate is kept closed. I noticed this morning that the gate was open so that could be where Tia is sleeping. I intend to get up at around 5am tomorrow and drive the route and check out any possible places she could be sleeping. Bev x

Hi Bev and all - spend about 2 hours yesterday (Sat 5:30-7:30pm) in Taylor Park asking about Tia and Indie to all the dog walkers and general public - my new chat up line "do you come here often and have you seen these dogs" went down reasonably well. Also checked Alex Park on the way up and back down but nothing. We had a call on Friday from a lady that said she might have seen Indie being walked in there so went through to check it out and do the walk and talk. Fingers crossed for Tia.

Bev, I've asked advice from another Co-ordinators on the distance with the trianglular movements (thanks Sherlock), it could be anything up to approx 10 miles.

She is a hardy little breed mixture and well able to fend for herself as she is proving it. You just need a sighting at the right time for you to get there. We will have to look into getting a trap in the near future if she is not home soon, but need sightings to set up a feeding station where we know she is going back to. If only the little tinker would make her way back home. We know how hard you are working to get her back. Jan x
Bevjg
Hi Jan, the triangle that dogs travel on, how big an area is it usually? A young girl who lives near me is adamant she's seen Tia a few times around Alexandra Park but it just seems a bit out of the way from Queens Park and Ellison Drive. Bev x

Bev don't worry about going to Halewood RSPCA just yet I will call in and send them an up to date poster, I did look out for her in there when I called in last Monday.

Don't forget to look at the sightings on the map and hopefully you have been marking them off, she maybe forming a pattern now. Also look at the scenting instructions I sent you if you are not already using them.

You truly deserve to get her back with all the hard work you are putting in, if only she knew. Jan x
Bevjg
Hi Jan, I rang Leigh this morning and they mentioned that you had been there yesterday. I was supposed to be going to the RSPCA in Halewood tomorrow but I think I'll leave it for a few days. I will probably spend some time in Taylor Park as it's not far from the latest sightings and it might be worth checking out again.

Asda refused point blank to put up a poster and last weekend I put some up on their car park only for them to be taken down very quickly. When I was in Queens Park earlier I got talking to lady who was walking her dog and it turns out she works at Asda. When she's at work tomorrow she is going to have a chat with the manager as she is sure he isn't aware of what's been going on. She will ring me later tomorrow to let me know how she got on. Bev x

I've just received 2 phone calls. A lady saw Tia in Queens Park on Wednesday and as she walks her dog there every day she and her friend will look for and ring me if they see her. Another lady (a postwoman) saw her yesterday at around 3.15pm on Ellison Drive. She has asked me to drop off some flyers. On both occasions Tia kept approaching them and running away. She's getting bolder and coming into the open more often. Again these are all areas where I have taken her in the car and she's very, very close to home. Michelle told me that all our posters had been taken down in Queens Park and Julie, the lady who saw Tia confirmed this. This is so annoying as she was so close and I could have been there in about 2 minutes. I'm now going to put more posters up in the park and some around Ellison Drive. Bev x

Bev, while out today I called into Leigh Cats & Dogs Home and had a look round the stray and rehoming kennels. Don't normally get to visit the kennels as it is a 60 mile round trip from my home. They have got a poster of her on their notice board which is great. Jan x

It's not Tia but it was worth checking out. Merseyside Police were very good and have logged my details. They will let me know if they hear of any dogs matching Tia's description. Bev x
Bevjg
I am currently speaking to Merseyside Police about a small brown female crossbreed - terrier type dog that has been picked up in L9 earlier today (it was tied to a lamp post outside Farm Foods and abandoned). They are trying to get a more detailed description of the dog and will ring me back shortly. Bev x

I spoke to some local children earlier, they saw Tia on Tuesday and Wednesday morning this week at Alexandra Park on Prescot Road (old Pilk's head office). I went there and spoke to a man at the bowling green and his young son said he also saw her around there a few days ago.

I had a look around but couldn't see anything so I spoke to a few of the workers around there. I also had a word with the security guards who said they would keep an eye out for her. Bev x

Sorry Im not from the area but I saw an ad for a found dog, little brown/tan with white chest and pointed ears, looks like a corgi/cross wearing a brown collar nr the golf course. Its possibly a completely different dog but you could ring them, 07932581281

I started putting up posters and handing out flyers in Sutton yesterday. I know the staff at Sutton Corn Stores as we spend a lot of time there, they have taken some flyers and will give them to customers. Bev x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Bev great news that there has been no reports of and RTA dogs being reported as picked up. Fantastic the St Helen's Star is going to do a story, ask them to also mention DogLost and the link or her page to guide people to look at it. Good luck.

Come on Tia your mum wants you home. Jan x
Bevjg
The St Helens Star have been in touch today and they are going to do a story on Tia. The photographer is coming round to my house tomorrow afternoon. Bev x

Hi Jan, I've checked with the local vets, the dog warden and cleansing today and no injured or dead dogs have been taken to the vets or collected since Thursday so that's good news. I spent some time in Sherdley Park last night putting up posters, handing out flyers and asking people about both dogs. So far no more sightings in that area. Tonight I will start putting up posters around the Sutton area. I also have an auntie on Mill Lane so I will speak to her too as she knows a lot of people in the area. Bev x

St Helens Linkway - A570 post code WA9 5DT is where Tia was sighted.

Thanks Tig (Indie's owner) for getting back to the emails earlier tonight and providing the details for the linkway road. Jan x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Tig thank you so much for posting on Tia's page I know Bev has been looking out for Indie, it will help greatly if you team up with each other. Bev does desparately need some help she is working so hard. Jan x
Tig
Hi Tia's owner - I am Indie's owner (Stolen Blue Merle puppy and have seen you have posted a note on her DL page so many thanks for keeping your eye out for her and I will do the same for Tia. It sounds like she is still in the area - let me have your contact details via e-mail Tig_wilson@hotmail.com and as we are looking in the same area we could co-ordinate our search.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
I've had a call from Bev, a man has rung today saying he seen Tia running along the linkway road dodging traffic going toward St Helens. The sightings was the end of last week but he cannot remember if it was Thursday, Bev has had no reported sightings of Tia since Thursday. I've advised Bev contacts Rutland House vets who are a large practice in the area and also the local Council.

Bev is doing a fab job and is doing by herself. I've alerted Indie's owner and it would be great if they could team up as they are covering the same areas in their search.

Tried to ring Bev for an update but not managed to speak to her. Keeping everything crossed for Bev and Tia.

If anyone can help spread the word please let us know and various size posters can be emailed to you. Thanks. Jan x

One other thing before I forget. There is a permanent gypsy site not far from where Tia was spotted and jack russell types are popular with them. I have befriended a fishing family at the canal along Tesco and her their oldest son is a PCSO - he has taken a flyer as he regularly attends the site and will look out for her when he next goes.
Bevjg
Hi Jan, I've spoken to Leigh Cats and Dogs Home this morning and they have a small black and tan terrier which was brought in late yesterday - they have recommended I visit so I'm calling in on my way home.

A bit of good news, my boss has said I can print as many posters and flyers as I want on the company printer free of charge. Bev x

Bev,you gave my son a poster at the car booty.but i had already been looking & sharing for Tia..make sure you get your advert with the star & reporter in today..Tues is the deadline..Good Luck xx

Jan, I will be contacting the Star at some point today. A man in Taylor Park yesterday also mentioned Radio Merseyside as they have a lady on there who has a lost and found slot. Bev x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Bev you are doing everything you possibly can getting the word out. You are making her well known in the area, just need that most important call.

Did you manage to contact the St Helen's Star? As we discussed on the phone the other night there has been very good results with this paper and they normally do good coverage and include a photo.

I looked out for her while in Halewood RSPCA today. Keep your chin up we are all thinking of you. Jan x
Bevjg
I waited at Tesco near the canal then handed out flyers and talked to as many people as I could at the car boot sale on Sunday morning. Today I spent a few hours in Taylor Park handing out flyers and talking to everyone I saw. I've also stuck up more posters. Has anyone got any more ideas? Bev x
Bevjg
I'm feeling really disheartened today. I've put up over 250 posters and hand out flyers all day yesterday. I walk and drive miles every day and since Thursday there's been no sign of Tia. No sign at any of the dogs homes either. I don't know what else to do.

Thanks Bev, I will watch out in all areas. I live by Pilkingtons head offices as was. I go to Tesco and to the Ravenhead Retail park and could again have moved since. It is a positive thing she is being spotted, I will also spread the word around my friends with her details x
Bevjg
janni0706 We mainly walked around Taylor Park but I always drove there. Our walks varied more in warmer weather but I don't think she is likely to be anywhere near the other places as they are too far away. Tia has been spotted on Ravenhead retail park and Tesco's. Bev x

Thanks for posting on her page and helping spread the word. :)

janni0706, sure Bev will answer your question when she comes online, she is working so hard to find Tia. Jan x

Had a long chat earlier tonight with Bev who is doing a fantastic job in her search for Tia, sure it is only a matter of time before we see them reunited. Have discussed how to behave if she is seen, scenting, BBQ and marking sightings on a map.

Bev is taking her other dog out who is very laid back and he may help with leaving his scent in the area and if Tia sees him.

Keep up the great work Bev we are all rooting for you. Jan x

Hi Jan, I was putting up posters on Ravenhead Retail Park and a family told me they had seen Tia there earlier in the week. I also talked to a lot of local people who took posters away with them as they drive around there a lot. Bev x

Posters working again! with everybody being off today there is a good chance you will have more sightings...and a good chance she has smelt food from the parties!

This is great news and good to see the posters are working, keep us updated it is only a matter of time.

I'll change her breed to crossbreed and add that she is a Heeler/Jack Russell cross in her details to show up on the poster. Send me a text and I'll ring you on your land line a.s.a.p. Good luck. Jan x

Hi Jan, There has been a sighting today. I received a phone call at around 4.20 from a man who had seen the poster in Tesco. He said he saw Tia near Tesco in the morning and when he tried to coax her towards him she ran off towards the canal. He seemed to think her collar was missing. I have looked around where she ran off and spoken to lots of people but no one else has seen her. I then put up posters on all routes to Tesco. I intend to go early tomorrow morning and wait for a while in case she turns up again. I quite often take her there in the car when I do my shopping so it is familiar to her. Bev x

Jan, I was at work this morning and out all afternoon. I did have a missed called on my mobile from when I was driving but as it was an unknown number I couldn't call back.

Tia went missing last week but was returned on the same day - she was found about 2 miles away in an area she hadn't been to before. She went missing again on Monday 25th. She has never done this before last week.

I have worked through the list today and contacted most of them. I have also visited 3 local kennels this afternoon and also left posters with them. I have been sticking posters up and giving them to local shopkeepers yesterday and today. I've spoken to lots of local people too who are looking out for her. I have no reported sightings since Monday afternoon. Bev x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Bev, tried to ring you, both numbers went onto answerphone. The contact numbers for all the kennels she may end up in are in the email, main ones for the areas are Leigh Cat & Dog' Home, Cheshire Dog's Home and Halewood RSPCA.

What date did she go missing? The registered missing date is 25th and you say she escaped last week!!

It is important kennels are visited in person. I will not be home until late this evening but will try and email out to the kennels in the area, but do not rely on the emails being opened straight away.

Posters are the key to getting more sightings and she may have been picked up and not reported to the Dog Warden. Jan x
Bevjg
Hi Jan, the problem I have is that she escaped last week and was found by the Landrover garage on Prescot Road by a runner. She followed him home to a street behind the old saints ground so she may be quite a distance away by now. Bev
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Bevjg, thanks for posting on her page. Not had time to check the AW's site but if not already do register her with them and keep checking it (details are in the email). Also enquire take into account not everyone will know what breed she is. I'll check Scenting Instructions were included in the email. Jan x
Bevjg
Thanks janni0706. I am Tia's owner and she was spotted on Borough Road and Eldon Street on Monday afternoon so hopefully she is still around that area. Bev x
