Family have spoken to Kath (STECS) he will be reunited a.s.a.p. THANK YOU and WELL DONE to everyone who has helped reunite him.

Family have been looking for him but with places being shut they have not been able to contact anyone. The phone had been lost and owner has just had it replaced. This feller is actually a Scottie/Poodle cross but looks very much like a Scottie and is 12 months old. They do not live far from where he was found and that will explain why he ran to the area when he escaped from the finders home. So pleased there is a happy ending and look forward to moving him into the BLUE. Welcome home you little scamp. Lots of hugs and cuddles from everyone on DL. Jan x

Great result, thanks to Leigh C&D Home, owner contacted them and they passed my mobile number on. Not long finished speaking to one very happy owner. Will update shortly. Jan x

J MO thanks for the text update earlier today, so pleased he has been taken in by STECS and the DW has been notified. I did report him as found to Leigh Cats & Dog's Home and told them where he was going to. Details have now been updated. Jan x

So pleased this little Scottie is now with Cath - she is a star! He will be loved and cared for now. Thanks to the finder and his family for taking care of this boy temporarily.

He escaped out of the front door and ran back to where i found him at about the time the warden was due, after recapturing him he is now with Kath Marchbank from STECS and not in Leigh Cat and dog home

J MO thanks for sorting it out and the text updates, would be great if STECS can help look after him and hopefully his owner will be found> The DW for the area will need to be notified, this boy should do his 7 days in Leigh C&D Home as they have the Council stray contract for the area. Can STECS inform Leigh and leave a contact number in case an owner contacts them?

Leigh C&D Home have been very good and reunited missing dogs via the posters which have been emailed to them or handed in by owners, they do print them off and display on the wall.

As the mobile number is connecting to an answerphone it does look like it is still connected. Owners may not even know he is missing and be on holiday. Great to see the help in trying to find his family, well done and thank you to everyone. Jan x

Spoke to STECS Rep this morning who was going to speak to finder to arrange for this little chap tk be picked up and stay with get until owner found. If owner can't be find then he would be rehomed thru the Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme who have people who want to adopt a Scottie

I did try the number and heard the girls voice, will keep trying now and again. I've uploaded one of the photo/s from your webspace after you have given him a spruce up, he is looking a lot better. Jan x
hirebrand
OK it would be great to find out what happened to him (I dont actually like leigh cat and dog home from experience so doubt they will let me know but he cant stay as my daughter is getting attached now and we really can't have any more pets)
I forgot to say i think he is from st.helens because the girls voice on the voicemail is a st.helens accent)

Thanks Badger and J MO.

hirebrand you are doing a great job in caring for him, I've looked at the pics on your webspace. Keeping everything crossed his owner locates him and if they are on holiday his carer finds him. Will try and contact Leigh tomorrow for an update and keep a tab on what happens to him. Jan x
hirebrand
He looks quite forlorn in that picture but he is quite a happy little dog
I have put more photo's on my webspace now he's had a bath
not sure if links work here but if not copy and paste this to your address bar in your browser

STECS are aware of this little chap
Badger
Details of this little Scottie have been included on www.scottiedoglovers.co.uk to make more people aware in the hope of reuniting him with his family very soon. I will also ask for details to be included on the STECS (Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme) website.

Thanks J MO for the quick response to the texts.

hirebrand, great you have posted and sorry if you have tried to ring back I've been on the phone. Thanks for looking after him and glad it is now going to be arranged to take him off you. I'll put Leigh C&D Home number on as a contact number. Jan x

This dog will still be at my house for another night
I tried to take him to the police station but they dont have facilities to keep overnight and couldnt get an answer on the number they have for their out of hours warden. They have however now arranged for him to be collected from me tomorrow morning and he will be taken to leigh cat + dogs home.
So my phone number on your website will be irrelevant after tomorrow morning so long as they collect him as arranged
J MO
I have put details of this little Scottie on Facebook. If owner can't be traced or the little lad has been abandoned then SRECS (Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme) have homes waiting for Scotties and we would certainly find a forever home for this little chap.

Spoken to finder again and given some advice on what to do. This boy could of been getting looked after while owner is on holiday. Unfortunately due to the Bank Holiday local Council's are not back in work until Tuesday. If picked up he would be taken to Leigh Cats & Dog's Home but they may not be open until after the holidays and finder says it is too far for them to take him there. Finder is going to take him to St Helen's Police station as it is difficult to keep him with their own dog and cats. I've updated some of the details now. Jan x

Photo now received from finder and uploaded.

Finder has just rang myself, I've given him the Out of Hours but they do not cover this area, this found boy may have come from another bordering area which the Out of Hours may cover. Keeping everything crossed his family are found soon and well done to his finder for taking the time to care. Jan x
