Freddie and Coco are still missing, if everyone could just keep a look out this weekend while on their walks, that would be great. Anna x

So sorry to hear that your two dogs are missing :-( Have you spoken to Gloria, the local dog warden? If she doesn't cover your area then she will know who does. She is also exceptionally helpful and know that she will do what she can to help you in your search - her number is 07985 811944. I'll forward the posters to everyone i know in the area - i hope that they both turn up safe and well.

If you could pass the message on that would be very kind. We are just trying to be hopeful, they are bright mischievous things. Thank again for your help and advice.

Very sorry to hear that your dogs are lost. I lost my dog on the 20th Nov, he got hit by a car and ran off. We hadnt seen or heard a thing and after all that snow and really cold weather he turned up on Sat, still with harness on and collar, he had been fending for himself for the past 2 weeks, please dont give up, survival instincts kick in, I know how you feel, its the not knowing. I wish you all the luck. I sometimes head over to Ashdown Forest and have family in the Uckfield area, I will always keep a look out. xx

While I appreciate the D/Ws comment on the breed of dogs seen I felt I should put a post on here as not so long ago an older dog who was lost from this area had travelled (maybe as the crow flies so to speak) over 15 miles into the Chichester area when he was found so not impossible for these two younger dogs to be that far away now. So Sheila good thinking anyway. Sending good luck wishes to you all in finding them. Stay safe you two until you are found xxxx

I live in Chiddingly which is quite a way down the A22 from you but I also walk on Ashdown Forest at the weekends and will ask other walkers. I would be quite happy to try out a local walk to you if you need an extra set of eyes, ears and 16 paws. I am sure that you have already advised the forestry commission so that their wardens are aware but keep pro active and hopeful. Make sure all the local rescue centres are aware also (Kit Wilson, Raestede and Last Chance, RSPCA Godstone). Two pointers who were lost near Inverness survived bitter conditons and turned up safe and sound after several days having found a half built summerhouse in someone's back garden for shelter. Your terriers are a far hardier sort of dog. Julie

Thank you, I cant tell you how nice it is to know others are trying to help as well. Anna x

The two terriers were phoned to me by the dog warden and she recons they are red/tan lakelnad borders types. she is aware of these patterdales just in case. CJ

Thank you for thinking of us, I think it is unlikely however, as that is 19 miles away. We are in East Sussex - A22, Ashdown Forest, Nutley, Fletching, Horsted Keynes, Scaynes Hill, Chailey, Uckfield,Forest Row, Last edited: 2010-12-06 14:33:50 by Anna Lewis

Is TN12 anywhere near TN22? Just that I see two terrier-type dogs are listed on Dogs Found page running around loose in TN12. Sorry if false alarm...

We live right in the middle - Coming from Nutley to Fletching we are on the left had side. We are on the top of the hill near sheffield forest. - Thank you for helping x

Bell Lane is a very long lane and surrounded by farm and woodland. Can the owners verify whether the dogs went missing from either the Nutley or the Fletching end please.

Phoned oqwners to give some advice plus check postcode which is TN22 so has been changed. Photos to be sent to admin and i am email instructions of scenting to them. No signs since they run off but being patterdales they are hardy terriers so sure they will find somewhere to keep warm and would expect them to stay together.
Area is vary rural. Dogwarden notified but not chip company but they are going to do that . Once we have pictures on site mailings will go out. CJ

Sorry to see that COCO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (26606)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
