Is owner pursuing the postering in nearest towns? And what about advertising in local papers? What if she is still out there in rescue waiting to be claimed? Is there a travellers' liaison officer to speak to?

Hi Not Topaz as Bizzie is definitely house trained. We are in the country but have a travellers' caravan park not far away. It's just strange that she went off with Rosie who is microchipped. They played together all the time so it's safe to assume that they'd have stuck together. The local game keeper hasn't seen hide nor hair of her. My guess is that Bizzie was sold on as a Christmas pet. I hope she finished up somewhere nice. Lesson to be learned is to microchip all dogs asap !!
Thank you everyone for your care and help. Unfortunately there are unscrupulous people out there.

There is a very simlar looking dog called Topaz on the Battersea Dogs Home website now says rehomed. (2010/03907) Worth having a look. Julie

Advertised in The Shooting Times magazine. Good Luck

Can't get this girl out of my mind. Not sure if owner may be pretty much in a rural area? Is there much snow your end of the country? In both of which cases, forgive the obvious, but she may not necessarily have travelled a great distance so have you checked out ditches, fields and anywhere she could be caught up?

Sadly it's been as quiet as a tomb - Absolutely no news. Posters are up... No joy !!

Is there any further news on this gorgeous labby, please?

Thanks for the update, how frustrating no news yet. Have you managed to get posters up all around the area? They really do work and have reunited so many dogs.

Just to keep everyone up to date - got a reply from Mutts in Distress- they don't have her, nor do the police / The essex/herts dog wardens or the E Herts Animal Rescue

So sorry, somehow completely missed Buzzie on here before now. As well as Mutts in Distress there's also ARC not far away. Will get in touch with the owner to see if there's any update at all and offer some (belated) advice. Hope Bizzie is home very soon. x

Thanks to everyone for your help so far.

Will contact owner for update.

Sorry to hear that Buzzie is missing. You have probably already done this, but have you contacted Mutts in Distress at Little Hallingbury, just in case she is handed in there. Maybe they would put up a poster for you. Hope you hear some news about Buzzie soon.
martinsidestud
No I doubt - 26066 is about 100 miles away (we are near Stansted Airport) - can't imagine Buzzie being that wild! Sound horrible though...
CP
Forgive the, perhaps, obvious but could this young lady be the sighted not caught "Found" 26066?
Goldenfrodo
This is a Labrador, not a Curly Coat Retriever.
Auntie Katie
I think this is a South East one rather than an East Anglia one - hope thats right.
