It is with sad regret to be moving Sam to Rainbow Bridge, emailed owner last night advising they check with the DW/Council/Highways if Sam could not be found, have had the following reply via email:

Thank you for your email Jan, yes it was Sam, my partner and I went out at 03.30 this morning with a torch and found him on the central reservation of the dual carriageway. We buried him in our garden this afternoon. He shall be greatly missed, he had been with us for nearly 7 years and was the best I will always remember him.
Thanks for our help! .........

Not the outcome anyone on DL likes to see, thanks to his owners for letting us know and to the person who contacted them. Only consolation we have is they now have closure. Deepest thoughts are with you and lovley Sam, run free at the Bridge and sweet dreams Sam. Jan x

I received some upsetting news tonight after placing an advert in my local newspaper. The caller that that he saw a dog (fitting Sams description)lying on the dual carriageway not far from where we are living He said that he had been lying there for the past two weeks, but he had not seen his body for the past two days. Tried to look for him tonight to bring his body home but it was too dark to see. Will look again tomorrow. All very sad!

Sam's owner phoned me last night. Everything is being done to find him and she's putting an advert in local paper.
Come on Sam, your family are missing you and want you back home.
Goldenfrodo
