Thanks to anyone who read Meg's info and had her in their thoughts. And a massive thank you to Sable for 'phoning me so quickly with advice and recommendations. You put a lot of time and effort into helping me and it really was appreciated. Meg was collected from two lovely rail workers who found her hiding in a clump of long grass on the railway embankment while they were checking the line at 3am. They found our 'phone number on her ID tag btw, not from the posters. But the next day I DID get a few phone calls from people who had seen our posters and realised they had spotted Meg roaming the local area on Friday evening. So if we hadn't already got her back by then, it would have narrowed our search down a lot. The posters obviously make a massive amount of difference when you're trying to find a missing dog and the 'print-your-poster' page on this site is a fabulous help - I wouldn't have had the first idea how to design a poster and it would have taken me hours. Thanks to this site I was printing them off in ten minutes!

And now that we've got a happy ending all my friends and family are making huge fun of me for scent marking by scattering my grubby pants and socks about the park where Meg disappeared. I suppose I really should go and collect them up now before I see somebody else's dog running about the park with them in its mouth. LOL!

Thanks again to Sable and to everyone who runs this wonderful site :-)

Meg was found near the railway line not far from where she went lost. A couple of the workmen who were chcking the line, found her and called the owners after seeing a poster earlier.Thank goodness she was found safely, as there are huge amount of dogs killed on the railway line.

Hi everyone. Meg is my dog. There was one sighting of her in Pollok Park on Friday afternoon just immediately after she went missing. A couple saw her running off from the North Woods in the direction of Pollok House. I stayed in the park for about 4 hours and hunted all round but no sign of her. Though she may well have had her nose down a mouse hole and was just ignoring my shouts as she's a farm dog and a keen hunter who often insists on staying outside all night in the pouring rain when she's got a rat cornered. I went back to the park at night and will be back there again today. Have advertised her as missing on Glasgow Gumtree and Glasgow Freeshare. Have contacted local police with details. Will be checking local dog rescue centre and local vets today just as soon as I get some posters printed off. She might be making her way back to Kilbarchan in Renfrewshire as that is where we usually live. We have been staying in Pollokshields in Glasgow for the last month but Meg doesn't know this area very well yet...
