I live in CO6 and have been worried ... glad to see Millie is home ... been in the same position, doglost helped with support and I know the relief the owner must be feeling now. Welcome home Millie.

Sorry I'm not near enough to help - hope Millie is found safe very soon. Colchester Council puts found dogs here: http://www.colchester.gov.uk/lost_dogs_list.asp?sec_id=691 but there's nothing listed at the moment. They give : 01206 282581 as a Mon-Fri phone and 01206 769779 as a helpline. I think found dogs go the a kennels on : 01449 737641 and they are open 9-12 at weekends so might be worth a ring. I'm sure Jo will be along soon with more local info.

Sorry to see Millie is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
