Welcome home Mabel.x
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Great interview...well done everyone!
Millys Mum
I'm also absolutely delighted that this gorgeous girl has been found. And what a fantastic effort by her 'extended family' and DL Helpers. And naturally, a huge THANK YOU to Mabel's finder who spotted her missing poster in the pub/restaurant. I've just listened to Ian's interview - just brilliant and some wonderful plugs for DogLost. Wishing everyone a lovely 'Welcome Home Mabel' party - have fun and give that lovely girl a hug from me!
DevilDamo
I have just listened to Ian's interview on the iPlayer too. Very well done! For those of you who haven't yet listened, go here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p009dmt2/Joe_Talbot_21_08_2010/ and scroll forward to 1:48.37.

So pleased to hear Mabel has been reunited with her family :)
BonBon
Just caught up on this. So pleased Mabel is safe and sound. Expect she enjoyed her first night back in home comforts! Well done Ian with your broadcast on BBC Radio Surrey - have just listened on iplayer. Great publicity for Doglost. Had to laugh at the presenter. He seemed so surprised that good people would do so much. Perhaps he should become a helper and then he would find out just how many wonderful people are willing to help at a time of need.
ML
Absolutely fantastic. Welcome home Mabel. xxx
Goldenfrodo
What brilliant news. Well done everyone. Welcome home Mabel. Stay safe now xx

It was most satisfying to have been involved in the search for Mabel,it's a great feeling when the efforts of so many people get the result they deserve. However whilst we have had a happy outcome for some people this is not always the case with numerous dogs going missing on a daily basis and we really need to spread the word about Doglost to as many people as possible so that others get the opportunity to sense the feeling of relief that we have now Mabel is home
DevilDamo
I bet Mabel is so happy to be back in safe hands & comfortable. It's times like this when you wish dogs could talk to you about their experiences. That's a very nice gesture Ian. Everybody can now relax.
doglover1
Sooooo pleased to see Mabel is reunited, I've been watching her page every day, waiting for good news, well done Team Mabel fantastic news. Big hugs to Mabel xx
Ian
Mabel has just got back from the vets. She did a massive wee on the vets floor! She is in surprisingly good fettle under the circumstances but does have a bit of a temperature. She is drink g a lot but is wagging her tail a lot too. Ian xx
Shelley
Mable has been to the vet. She has had an antibiotic and pain killer injection for her grazes on her tummy and sore eyes. She disgraced herself and weed everywhere which the Vet said was good news! She apparently now weighs the correct weight!! She has an appointment tomorrow to make sure she has not been sick or had an upset tummy, if so she will need a blood test. The Vet offered her some food which she gobbled up!! Gone home to Nanny and Poppa's for a rest and pampering!!!
Shelley
Thankyou to everyone who has helped to get our girl back, we can't thank you all enough! Nanny Pam and Poppa John xxx
PaulaK
Got the text to say she was found just after I heard the news on Eagle - nearly crashed the car whoop whooping!!! Well done all x
Joandjack
What wonderful people out there and how kind of the owners to hold a party to meet everyone.
Ian
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. Mabel is safe and sound and is being checked out by the vets as we speak. I am doing a live phone in with BBC Radio Surrey at 7.45am tomorrow and will use it as a platform to give the website some publicity as it really is a great hub to co ordinate everyones efforts. My Wife and I will be planning a party at ours with food and drink on us in order to thank everyone and so that those that haven't met Mabel can! Thank you again xxxxxx
Shelley
Hi everyone, just to let you know that Mable looks fine. She has a bit of a rash on her tummy and her eyes look a little sore, other than that she has lost a bit of weight too! She is now with Mel's Mum and Dad and on the way to the vets for a check up. I think she will be really spoilt by the time Mel and Ian get back from their holiday! Thanks again to everyone who spent so much time trying to find Mable. Shelley xx (Mel's Sister)

Mabel has been CAUGHT!!!!! Hip hip hooray. Thank you everyone who has helped . will be intouch for a celebration drink. xx
DevilDamo
Oh god! So she has gone from Frimley Green, past Farnborough, to Camberley/Sandhurst and then headed back to Farnborough and QEP is about 5mins from my house!!! Bless her :( Hopefully they'll be more news towards late afternoon and more sightings around the area. I'll head in that direction straight after work armed with more posters. Can't believe she's there after I was in/around Camberley for most of lastnight.
Clair
Mabel has just been spotted still in the park. Team down there trying to coax her out. Come my girl!
Umneya
Good luck with the searching today. I am not around much today, but will keep checking back on progress and see if there is anything I can do this evening to help. I may be able to help tomorrow morning if needed for a search. Will know later today and send details to you if I can. I have also contacted my friend who lives in Farnborough and asked him to look out for her when walking his dog later today. Stay safe Mabel.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Just spoken to the chap at Rushmoor Borough Councuil who is reponsible for the park and they are going to keep an eye out for her, if the current searchers have no joy.
Clair
mabel seen this morning at queen elizabeth park farnborough at 9.30
Clair
Eagle radio have just spent about 4 mins posting notice of Mabel. Fingers crossed for today everyone X
Clair
Unfortunately I am going into hospital tomorrow for surgery. If anybody that is available to search tomorrow e-mails me on clairlyons@btinternet.com I can forward telephone numbers and we can arrange a search party. Many thanks again x
markie
I've just returned home having been to Watchetts Park,Frimley Lodgeand back to Farnborough via The Quays. No luck but spread the word, have emailed Eagle, apparently someone who heard the appeal broadcast said that lost dog messages are broadcast on their mid morning programme which I believe started at 09.30 so hopefully it will be broadcast again and we get some information of a sighting.Clair,I think we should try and organise a co-ordinated search tomorrow, whereby we are all searching at the same time but at various locations, obviously this would mean that we would all have to exchange mobile numbers off site via email so that if anyone spots Mabel then we can all get to that area as soon as possible.I'm quite happy to put my email address on here to collect the numbers if enough people are willing to do it,I appreciate that the weekends are precious to people but so is Mabel therefore if we can get something arranged let's go for it
Shelley
Hi Clair, We have just got back from holiday to the sad news that Mabel is lost. Beverley and I will be going down to Camberley tomorrow. We just can't sit here without trying to help! Thank you all so much for everything you are all doing to try and bring Mabel home safely. Shelley xx (Mel's sister)

Hi, The call I think was from Claire/Millicent.
DevilDamo
Who keeps on (accidentally) reporting the posts? It can be quite frustrating especially if those reported posts contain information on sightings or what areas people have checked or where posters have gone up. Anyway, I have been out in the car this evening and got back about half an hour ago. I have put a poster up on the roundabout at the Upper Chobham Road/Prior Road junction (i.e. next to the golf course). I have also put posters up at the bottle bank adjacent Ravenswood roundabout/primary school on Prior Road. I have also put a poster up at the Texaco petrol station on Portsmouth Road as well as putting one on the main reception desk at Frimley Park Hospital so hoping they'll see that tomorrow and put it up somewhere more noticable. I put a couple more posters up on the notice board on the roundabout of Portesberry Road/Knoll Road (i.e. next to the theatre) as well as another halfway up Portesberry Road opposite one of the entrances to the police station. I then drove up to Barossa Road, parked up and had a walk around there. I then found where Portesberry Hill Drive was and had a look round there. Before heading home, I drove through Yorktown Industrial Estate. I'm afraid I had no sightings and it's a shame there weren't any during the course of the day. Hoping for more luck tomorrow now more posters are up. We need to get 96.4 Eagle to broadcast it again as we can't afford to loose day(s). I don't think there's a lot more we can do until we have a confirmed sighting.
Clair
Thankyou everybody for your kind help and support again today. Let's hope she has rested today ready for her journey home tomorrow x
Umneya
No sightings of Mabel on the common behind Gibralter barracks. Bumped into a few other dog walkers and they will look out for her. They were also searching for the Jack Russel, so hope that had a happy ending in the end. Will be out again with dogs tomorrow. Will check for sightings and choose location depnding on if there is anywhere more needed to be searched.

thanks kirsty on to it now.

I have heard this evening from my dog sitter that the m3 motorway was shut this morning due to a dog being loose on the road. She heard this on magic fm. She believes the incident was in feet area. I have left a message with Magic tonight, to see if they can varify the report. In the mean time i sahll try and contact the RSPCA and the police.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
I can do the hospital but probably not until Saturday morning. There are poster on the bus shelters leading up to it from Heatherside already. If anyone can get them up quicker, let me know here, if not can do Sat.
kirsty
I have just spoken to my dog sitter. She says that she heard on the radio this morning that the m3 was shut near fleet because a dog was loose on the motorway. She thinks that this was magic fm. I have left a nessage with them tonight to see if we can clarify this traffic report. In the mean time will try to contact Hampshire police and RSPCA. I she was caught on the motorway she would have been seen by either. Last edited: 2010-08-20 15:36:31 by Angus

I can head out in about half an hour so will head back to Camberley (as I'm now back in Farnborough) and will put up some posters around the area and I'll also stop by Frimley Park and put some up there.Last edited: 2010-08-20 15:36:31 by Angus

Is anybody able to post by Frimley Hospital?
ML
You are all doing such an amazing job in the search for Mabel and I so hope that you find her very soon. Sometimes it is an idea to visit some of the local kennels just in case she has been overlooked. Good luck, thinking of you. xxx
Pearl46
I HAVE FRIENDS IN BAGSHOT, ALONG BY THE A30,AND AS I LIVE ABOUT 25 MILES AWAY, I CANNOT LOOK MYSELF, AND HAVE ASKED THEM TO LOOK OUT,AS THEY WALK THEIR DOG IN SEVERAL PLACES IN THE AREA,INCLUDING PARKS AND WOODS IN CAMBERLEY,LIGHTWATER AND BAGSHOT THEY ALSO TRAVEL THROUGH AND VISIT CAMBERLEY, THE MEADOWS AREA AND FRIMLEY,RIGHT ALONG TO FARNBOROUGH.HAS ANYONE TRIED POSTERS AT FRIMLEY PARK HOSPITAL,IF ALLOWED, AS MANY VISITORS WOULD BE FROM THE AREA AND COULD SPOT HER ON THEIR TRAVELS FROM DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS.
Ian
I am back on the Isle of Wight now with my family. Leaving Camberley today was extremely upsetting. I am so grateful to all of you that are so unselfishly dedicating so much time and effort to try and find my dog. Thank you to every single one of you. My neighbour is checking constantly in case Mabel comes home. If she does they will take her in. I can be home within 3 hours, ferries permitting in case of a definite sighting or emergency/accident etc. Thank you again to everyone. Ian x
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Just put posters up along the Wellingtonia avenue from Deepcut Bridge Road where all the local dog walkers go, up to Heatherside plus all round Heatherside Recreation ground and the shops.
DevilDamo
Ok. Well I'm in Camberley at the mo & with the car so can nip out to places if need be. I have handed a couple of posters to the convenience stores on the Frimley Road, Camberley.
Clair
She will be heading for Portesbery Hill Drive. The Lady who had a call may have been from me asking her to place a poster up within the golf course. Mabel does go up to Barossa every day. My Brother has posted up there but no problem in placing more. I have informed the Military up there to keep a look out.
DevilDamo
My brother goes to Crawley Ridge Infant School. Need to know if NMiles actually received a call about a sighting.
GillH
Looking out for Mabel around Camberley/Sandhurst area. Checked Shepherd Meadows at 6ish tonight but no sign. Walk at Barossa Common every day and will poster tomorrow. Do we know what part of Camberley she may be heading for?

You helpers are all amazing xx you'll be getting a big slobbery kiss from Mabel when she's home!

Managed to get Mabel in the local paper for next week, and onto the getsurrey website, hopefully it will appear tonight or tomorrow.
Clair
left message on crown estate number. council now closed although i think we have already notified them. phone just ringing for treetops, will keep trying, if not try again tomorrow.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
The Lookout and adjoining Swinley forest is owned by The Crown Estate, so it is worth ringing them too: 01753 860 222

Hi Clair/Millicent - yes I've emailed Eagle twice today, first thing this morning whilst out searching and again when I popped home at lunchtime asking if they would broadcast the message again.Had the radio on whilst out looking this afternoon and didn't hear it broadcast and that was between 1.30 and 4.00.It may be worth calling them I suppose see what if any response that brings.I'm going along to both Watchetts and Frimley Lodge later on,will be out again tomorrow so if there are any sightings or suggestions where to go I will take them on board.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
And in answer to your other question, badger everyone constantly! Ring them daily, that way Mabel will stay foremost in their thoughts.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Woking Borough Council for the dog warden in that area 01483 755855.
Clair
Hi All I have been in touch with the treetops kennels. What council does woking dog warden come under? I know my sister in law has taken mabel to the lookout for walks in the past. Would you suggest phoning these people on a daily basis despite the fact they have our details? Mark-if you manage to get hold of Eagle radio it may be worth while leaving my phone number as well as Ian's in case hecant receive calls due to a poor reception area. BBC radio Surrey are also interviewing Ian on saturday morning to help spread the word.
Millicent
Hi Paulak - yes Treetops have been informed and have our details, many thanks :o)
PaulaK
Im assuming you have been in touch with Treetops and both Guildford and Woking Dog Wardens and any out of hours services they may use
Umneya
we will be walking around parts of yately common (near minley manor) and will keep our eyes open again. Has anyone thought about trying the Lookout towards Bracknell as if she was heading Blackwater / Sandhurst direction she may have travelled a fair distance
DevilDamo
NMiles... When you say "after getting a call..." do you mean you received a call of a sighting around the area of the golf club? If that is the case, then everybody needs to focus around the Camberley area and really start from the outside (i.e. Frimley/Heatherside/Blackwater) and work their way into the centre, especially around the Crawley Hill/Crawley Ridge/Church Hill area.
NMiles
Hi, after getting a call I have put up a poster at Camberley Heath Golf Club which is on the Portsmouth Road. I also have a Chocolate Labrodoar and cannot imagine how horrible it is for you, I am purposely walking mine around the areas that Mable has been spotted and also putting up posters. My friend was reunited with her dog 3 weeks after him going missing so fingers crossed!
Millicent
Fast running out of ideas too :o( Markie did you try the radio again, if not I will :o)
Clair
Don't know if its worth mentioning but just had a call from a lady who saw mabel running frantically along the a331 on monday at 3pm ish. she was running in the hardshoulder towards the blackwater area. she is always out and about and said she will keep her eyes peeled. Fast running out of ideas !!!!
markie
I was out with Ian about 6.00 this morning for a few hours at various locations but no sightings I'm afraid.I sent in the email to Eagle Radio yesterday and sent them another one this morning to see if they would broadcast it again today, that was about 7.00 and it hadn't been read out by 09.30 so it may be worth trying them again.I'm off again shortly to go to either the Watchetts area or the Blackwater Valley path from Frimley to Blackwater,it's an area I covered yesterday but you never know and I'll chat to any office staff en route,we really need another sighting though
PaulaK
Treetops is the holding kennels used sometimes by dog wardens
Millicent
thanks damo - will pass that on! Sightings seem to have gone quiet today :o( Hope the radio is still putting it out.........
DevilDamo
Millicent... It keeps me busy :) I have just had a message left on my mobile from somebody at The Quays (pub/restaurant in Mytchett). I'm not sure how they got my number but anyway... the person told me a dog warden company called Treetops found her dog and they can be contact on 01483-572588 so may be worth a try, if nobody has done it already? Hope there are some more sightings today :)
KatieKoo
Have asked a friend in Lab Rescue to cross post as much as poss and added the doglost linky to the post on Springthing. good luck xx
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Hopefully we will get some more sightings today even nearer Camberley or she will turn up at home. Good luck. x
Millicent
Come on Mabel, make today the day you come home :o) Thanks again for all your help everyone - DevilDamo - you will waste away if you keep doing all that cycling! But Thanks :o) x
PaulaK
Was hoping to see Mabel in blue this morning - keep up the great work all of you, you are doing a fantastic job x
Clair
Thankyou so much damien and everyone else who has helped us yet again today. Let's hope tomorrows sightings are on her front door step ! Stay safe mabel . X
DevilDamo
I have just got back after spending about three hours out on the push bike. From Farnborough, I have been to... Camberley, Yorktown Industrial Estate, Sandhurst, College Town, back through Yorktown Industrial Estate, along Gordon Avenue/Middle Gordon Road to Portesbury Road, down past the police station, through the town centre, again back through Yorktown Industrial Estate then onto the A331 to the Frimley junction where I then took the Basingstoke Canal path all the way to North Camp and then back home. I handed out a couple of posters to the kebab man/van on the Meadows roundabout and another to the Tesco Express petrol station (within The Meadows). I'm hoping Mabel will now stay around the Sandhurst/Camberley area. We need some more sightings, especially ones in the afternoon as the sightings this morning near Sandhurst... she could have moved quite far by the time we had a chance to go out and look. It's good that a lot of local businesses are now aware (e.g. postmen/women, military, RAC, etc...). I have faith in them :) Come back Mabel.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Have just put posters up on lamp posts and bus shelters on the Upper Chobham Road, Chobham Road and Portsmouth Road in the direction of Frimley, plus one on each entrance to the dog walking woods on the Maultway. Also accosted our local friendly RAC man as he will be out and about all round the area, so he has taken one too. And there is one at the Deepcut Bridge Road/Upper Chob. Rd/Red Rd roundabout where all the traffic stops in the morning.
Umneya
I have been over the field opposite Sainsburys looking. I have taken a couple of posters into Sainsbury's too, and shown them to the guys in there who do the car washing. They will all keep l look out for her. If I get a chance after dinner, I will have an amble around the Meadows fields again for you. Have also emailed a friend who works near Hawley Lake to keep a look out there, as she goes running there.
DevilDamo
I have just got home (Farnborough) so will get the push bike out and cycle over to Camberley/Sandhurst because if she is still around the A331/Sandhurst area, there aren't that many places to pull over and the walk around without walking quite far. The bike can go pretty much anywhere. Once out, I'll check this page for any updates on my phone.
Clair
I have spoken to the military to keep a watch on their ground in case she takes that route. They have already sent out a patrol to look for her.I have also spoken to the nearby camberley heath golf course.
Clair
Thanks for all your hard work everyone. My Brother is as we speak up that way looking out for her. She is probalby by now half way between there and home.
Ian
Thank you again to everyones efforts. Mark, good to have met you earlier and thank you again. I have put 20 or so posters up today in all of the parks between the A331 and my home in Camberley. I have also given one to the local Post Office sorting depot in Watchmoor Park which is going to be shown to all of the Posties who will keep an eye out on their morning rounds. Have searched all of the parks between the Meadows roundabout and Sandhurst fields. I am going to go home now where I believe she is heading to but will go out again later. Don't know where yet? Hopefully there will be another sighting! Thank you again to all who are helping x
DevilDamo
Soon after my last post, I managed to get hold of my friend at the Frimley Business Park and I emailed her the poster so hoping she has the facility to email it around her company. I faxed the poster to the Premier Inn hotel on the crossroads in Sandhurst too. I'll head over that way at around 6pm.
Umneya
My house backs onto the meadows. I will walk dogs there and hesd up towards gas tanks in about an hour. I will alert my dog owning neighbours too. There are lots of dog walkers and usually fishermen around that area, so hopefully she will stay close. Good luck. Last edited: 2010-08-18 23:23:12 by Angus
Millicent
Not sure if Mabel has been seen up by the gas tanks, think Clair was just trying to explain the route that walk takes........will check with her
DevilDamo
I have just emailed Rackstraws Farm and I'm trying to get in contact with the pub/restaurant/hotel on the crossroads in Sandhurst for them to keep a look out. I have a friend who works at Frimley Business Park, which is on the A331/M3 junction so I'll try and email them a poster too. However, that may be too late if Mabel's already been spotted near the gas tanks. That's around the Blackwater area and heading towards The Meadows (Tesco's/M&S) on the big/busy roundabout. Hope she is seen and caught soon!
Millicent
oh no Damo! Well she's still there, bless her :o) Sightings are coming through Eagle Radio, who have been great! Thanks everyone!

Really hope that this lovely girl is caught soon, stay away from those roads now Mabel until you are found. xxx
DevilDamo
Oh no! That is where I was lastnight for about two hours!!! I'll try and pop by there again after work tonight. Keep the sightings coming. When I leave work and thus leave the computer, I'll keep checking with my iPhone. Luckily she hasn't gone that far then :)
Millicent
New Sighting this morning... in fields near the Blackwater Valley Path. Please keep eyes peeled around that area :o)
Clair
Just been told she may be following the Blackwater Valley path. (past the gas tanks and river up to Sandhust).
Clair
Just had a call from local radio station to say that Mabel was spotted at some point yesturday at A331 junction of M3 (by barrier) so it may be that she is trying to find her way home.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Also might be an idea to ring Merrist Wood Golf CLub 01483 238 890. Just trying to think how far she could get within the time she's been missing, having looked at the map.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
I believe Pirbright is Guildford Borough Council 01483 505 050. Also Pirbright is MOD training land soit might be worth contacting Pirbright HIVE, Email: pirbright@hivegb.co.uk Tel: 01483 488429 If they aren't the right people to help, they should be able to tell you who is. Just added a 'Lost Ad.@ to Surrey Heath Residents Classified website too. And one of my friends has added her as missing to Twitter. Fingers crossed.
Millicent
Have just been looking on a map, she may have headed towards Pirbright or Henley Park way as that seems all open fields from Mytchett, whereas the other way she would have to cross A roads which i think she would steer away from? Does anyone local know what councils would cover this area? Thanks :o)
Millicent
Pearly Jones - thanks very much - help has been amazing. I am sure Ian will be on later and let you know if theres a search going on later :o)
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
I popped into our vets on the Portsmouth Road in Camberley this morning before work and have registered her in their 'Lost' book. They have Clair's number if they get any news. They cover a wide area in the Camberley/Frimley direction so you never know. Am available to help look for her again tonight if needed.
Millicent
Come on Mabel, come home today :o(
DevilDamo
Ian... Not a problem at all. This is what we're here for. I myself don't own a dog. I got involved on this site by helping a very close friend find her dog that was missing and found after 5 days. I'm in/around the area so I'll do what I can, when I can. Unfortunately I'm not in the local area during day time as I have a full time job but I can help out tomorrow evening. But as mentioned, we really do need another sighting. Just need people to print the posters off, pin up and hand to local businesses to help spread the word.
Ian
DevilDamo, my Sister Clair and my Cousin Ann, thank you so much for your help today. DevilDamo, you are a gentleman, thank you so much.
Ian
Hello everyone, I am Mabel's owner. I have come home from holiday in case she makes her way home. Thank you so much to everyone for their help, it is very much appreciated and puts a lot of faith back in the human race! I have been to the Quays area today and have searched everywhere. They all have my number there in case she is sighted again. Have also been to Frimly Lodge and there are lots of posters there. I have a feeling that she will head home towards Camberley from where she was last sighted at The Quays. She has a name tag on and has been chipped and all of the local wardens have my details. Thank you again to everyone.
Umneya
Hi. I will take my dogs for a walk in the field opposite Sainsburys by M3 tomorrow and see if I can find her there, as well as spreading the word with other dog walkers I see. I know its a bit of a distance away from The Quays, but if she has lost her bearings, she may be drawn to other dogs there. Good luck with your search.
markie
Hi Clair,I live in Farnborough but I'll make my way up to the area of the Quays tomorrow on foot from Farnborough North station and I'll be spreading the word amongst the pedestrians and anglers in the area.Hopefully tomorrow will see her home safe and sound, good luck!
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
I'll get some more put up in our area of Camberley tomorrow too, as we are pretty close to Frimley, and if she is heading home, you never know. Will check here first thing. Just thinking of other places that might be worth checking that she may have headed towards - Frimley Lodge Park, and Frimley Fuel Allotments, if anyone in the area is free for a scout around tomorrow, as I will only be free to look after work.
Clair
My Brother has searched all evening around the Quays area but she couldnt be found. Perhaps she has now moved on. Thank you all again for your support in helping us find Mabel. Tomorrow is another day.
DevilDamo
I have just got back from being out on the bike. I have ridden to The Quays twice, Mytchett and Frimley Green twice as well as riding down the footpaths alongside the canal and dual carriageway. I also rode up to North Camp but I don't think she would have headed that way as the only way there from The Quays is alongside the dual carriageway and I Clair has told me she would run away from any kind of noise. I also pinned up some more posters on footpaths and at Frimley train station as well as giving one to One-Stop Convenience Store in Frimley Green. I do hope she is found and what we really need is another sighting so people can then concentrate on that area. I'll keep checking back here for any updates.

Sorry devildamo, I am new to this site and tire to leave a comment to thank you for all your kind help today but instead seemed to report you! I have phoned and they are going to erase it for you. Thank you everybody who has gone out of their busy lives to help look for Mabel. I shall let you know of any other sightings. Clair

I went down to The Quays on my way home to look for her and drove slowly back into Camberley down the Mytchett Road. No joy as yet I'm afraid, but have alerted dog walking friends and some ladies i met who apparently cycle around that area daily. Everything crossed Mabel turns up very soon. If there are any more sightings of her, let us know when and where and I can try again tomorrow, if she hasn't been found by then. Hopefully it won't be necessary and she will be back at home, safe. xx

I have just been to The Quays and met a lady with her dog having a look around. I spoke to people both in the waterski centre and the main pub/restaurant. A couple of people have already been into see them about Mabel. I handed posters to both places as well as one to the BP petrol station in Mytchett, another on Coleford Bridge Road and another on Rectory Road. I'm back home now but will be going out on the push bike as there are many paths with no access for vehicles, with it being close to the canal, train line and dual carriageways.Last edited: 2010-08-17 22:08:38 by Angus

Oh ok. I'm leaving work soon so I'll print off some posters and put them up around that area as I know it quite well.

Are you Claire? If so, I'm Damian :) As mentioned on the phone, I have a few friends who work at The Quays and I have forwarded them the information. We'll be in touch.

Thanks so much DevilDamo - dont think there is anyone else out scouting, as the owners are away and the rest of us are quite a distance away. Thanks for stopping by after work though - much appreciated! And if you could just keep an eye out for her and spread the word, thanks so much :o)

Hi. I live about 5mins from The Quays in Mytchett so I'll stop by there on my way home from work... in about two hours. I don't mind helping out tonight if others are out scouting the area?

Please please help - she is such a beautiful dog, and very very scared, so she will be somewhere absolutely terrifed :o( As they are away, please please help if you can and get some posters up! Many Thanks.
