What a strange but happy morning... I was off to school, I had told my class all about Smudge yesterday and just as I turned onto a road, that is very busy in the morning , there was Smudge at the other side of the road ! He ran across in front of me and I stopped, put on hazard lights , ran after him calling. He glanced back but ran. Luckily my husband and teenage daughter were at home so I called them so they could look for him as they were less than 5 minutes away. I carried on to school where I knew I had the missing poster with the contact number, luckily Smudge's owner was close by following up another sighting. He took the info from me of where I had seen Smudge and found him, meeting up with my husband along the way ! My class of 10-11 year olds are so pleased that Smudge is home safe and so am I ! What a fantastic result all round. And thank you Smudge's owner for your lovely message left on my phone, I will call you later, just so glad your boy is back where he belongs now . x

Eastbourne has many camping sites in the area. If you go to ukcampsite.co.uk you will find the addresses that could be contacted to that any campers when out and about could keep their eyes peeled.

This is very local to me, I work in a large primary school so will put a poster up in the staff room tomorrow and get my OH to put some up locally. Anyone else going to poster in Eastbourne please say so as we don't cover the same area. Has local dog warden, Sue Criddle, been informed ? Also cross posted to BIGGSD forum as I know we have a few local members JanetLast edited: 2010-07-18 22:00:01 by Kelly449ww
