I have just spoken to Angels owner and moved her over to North West region as the post code originally listed on site was incorrect. Angel has been SIGHTED on more than one occasion within 5 minutes walk from her home being pulled along on a lead ( and appearing to be distressed) by a scruffy middle aged man riding a mountain bike. Her owners are out postering the area heavily and anymore help with posters would be greatfully received as we need as many out there to get as much public awareness as possible. THis man may have found and decided to keep her OR may just have found her and not gone through the correct LEGAL procedures of reporting a found dog such as informing the dog warden and having the dog checked for a microchip etc BUT WHATEVER THE REASON HER OWNERS WANT HER BACK ! ~ Pam

Hi, I’m sorry to hear Angel is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
