Hi Cassie's owners this is Sarah. I came round to visit you yesterday morning with the numbers and details for Doglost. I have started postering today following the road down from the Clifton hatch, towards the entrance of Fern Hill Travellers site and outside the Coop. I put one right outside the front of the travellers site so hopefully if she is on there you will hear something soon. This is were I posted when our dog went missing from Latton Common and we received a telephone call the next morning from someone who had 'found her'.
Please poster as much as you can, others on here will help. I sadly didn't see her on the site only two extremely thin brindle greyhound/lurcher type dogs running free (I'm not sure if any similar are missing from our region). I also put a poster up on a few bus shelters and one on the main notice board at Pishiobury Park as lots of dog walkers pass through there. You might, if you haven't already put posters in all the vets and dog shelters. I understand there is a holding kennel in old Harlow in case she is free running and handed in. You can email posters to them to cover a wider area quickly.
I know how awful this is but take heart if you make her too hot to handle quickly you have a good chance of a phone call. We got our dog back safely and you will find as we did great help and support on here. You have my number if you need anything even a chat. Thinking of you and your family. Sarah

Photo of lovely Cassie now on site, along with owners telephone number (thanks Silent Paws). Cassie was wearing a light green studded collar when taken. Owners have a CRN from the police, have notified m/c company and started postering. Helpers have advised on who else to contact giving names, numbers etc and I know the postering will start in ernest tomorrow! A4 posters and smaller flyers done will email to helpers. Anyone not got them please let us know and we'll send them on. Lets make her too hot to handle and home to her family, and make some kids very happy. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have updated Cassie's page with the few more details we have.....but really need owners to get in touch with contact number and photo....then as everyone is waiting to do, things can get moving! Hopefully they will see the help you are all offering and realise how valuable this is in the search for Cassie. i have been out and about looking for Cassie, and stopping people i have seen with Westies, never knew there were so many around.!!!!!! i hope she is found soon. Has anyone been to the travellers site,  thats not too far from those shops, and we all know that others have turned up there, may be worth the owners going in there and calling her name, to see if gets any response. When we have a photo of cassie and the posters are done, i am quite happy to help with postering.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I left DL contact details with owners this morning after meeting their sons who were desperately looking for Cassie. I am happy to help poster area as quickly as possible, or assist in any way they would like. I am hoping to hear back from family as I have been round and spoken to them and left a detailed note with all the important numbers on such as Doglost, Police and Dog Warden but don't like to keep bothering them as they are obviously all very upset. If they would like any help and are reading this I know not just myself but all the other volunteers on here will support them in their search.
If she is not already home postering everywhere is vital it got that important call for us and our dog safely home in December.

I understand from owners that Cassie is not spayed but is microchipped and wearing a collar. Although two years of age she is much smaller than you would expect and looks younger, more like a puppy.

Thanks Silent Paws for registering Cassie on here. Helper Capote alerted me to Cassie earlier as well and has also passed all DL numbers and mine (and other things to do) on so hoping they will call soon so we can advise and get things moving. They really need help in making Cassie too hot to handle. I know the children are absolutely distraught.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Awaiting the contact details for the owner, so for the time being the poster phone number is Netty. Cassie went missing from outside Clifton Hatch shops, the owners son tied her up when he went into the shop, when he came back out, the lead was still there but not Cassie. Photo requested, owner lives in the Rundells. I have text the helps i have mobile numbers for and will update when possible.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
