Hi there ..A long shot but just spoken to my vets and they have clarified that if the Microchip address for the dog is that of the previous ( in your case rightful owner ) then on a legal stance the dog should be taken from thw new owners and given back to the registerd Microchip owner ! If the chip is registered with the righful owner then they would have had to notify the microchip company themselves by signing over the microchip rights. Please have alook at this and get harry back where he belongs xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How upsetting for you :( Surely there is something the police can do, afterall he is 'stolen' goods. Do the paper not have details of the person who placed the ad, there must have been a contact number ? I would be very surprised if you are not entitled to have him back legally, I know it's not the fault of the new 'owners' but they must have some morals surely ? Good luck xxx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks ESSJ for putting this news about Harry, what a wicked thing to do put Harry up for sale, how bitter & twisted can anyone be, hope the new owners will have a re-think.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is posted on Harry facebook page :(     Bev Preston 26 March at 20:21 Reply We’d like to thank everyone who has joined our group, distributed posters on our behalf and given advice.
We now know where Harry is. He was bought after an advert was placed on the trade-it website. Harry’s kennel club papers have been transfered without my dad’s consent or signiture - my dad’s signiture was provided by somebody else.
Unfortunatly, the people who have bought Harry are unwilling to give him back.
We are currently doing everything we can to get him back and will keep you updated.
Thanks again for all of your help x    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've posted details and photos of Harry on the BFA Discussion board, Animal Rehoming UK, ObedienceUK, ukshowdogs, Petsearch and various other groups/lists. It would be useful if you have any idea which region Harry might have been rehomed to. I'll also send details to all the rescues I am in contact with. I hope he is found soon and returned to his rightful owner.   ValerieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
