The lovely owners of these boys came round today, and gave me a thank you card, and chocs and a lovely framed photo of the boys!  The boys are doing great, and are booked in at the vets to be chipped, so that's great news!

Aww, thank you so much everyone!  They really were such sweet well behaved little boys, and I miss them!  I'm just so glad we managed to catch the 2nd boy, coz it snowed that night, and was bitter cold.  I feel very happy that I was able to help them, I love helping people!  I wish I could drive so I could help more people find their doggies!

Well done Amber, bet you were beaming from ear to ear when the owner rang you!  So glad these 2 are now safe back at home - there are so many terriers going missing/being stolen at the moment.  Great stuff.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the very excited text Amber !!  TOP MARKS FOR A TOP JOB !!  Very Very well done to you for getting these boys back home. What a story, and what a mystery as to why they were dumped or let out of a car there. Well done to owners for notifying vets and a big thank you to the vets for helping. Excellent result, and I hope they will be chipped now. Stay safe little ones - you are such lucky boys to be home xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news for these 2 lovely boys!!!  They are now reunited with their grateful owners!  I took these boys to a local vets to be scanned for microchips, but neither were microchipped.  I took them home again, but had to work at lunchtime.  When I got home, I rang my vets, and they'd had a report of 2 missing Jack Russells near Walsham Le Willows which is about 25 mins away from me.  She gave the man my number, and he rang, and gave me excellent descriptions of his boys!  It was them!  We couldn't believe it!  They are brothers, but the black one was younger, and they were stolen from their owners garden yesterday afternoon.  They were wearing collars and tags when they went missing which had been removed.  They thought they would never see their boys again, and had been searching and ringing vets etc!  So I'm very pleased!  Everyone had a happy cry, and the boys went home with their mum and dad!  What I don't know, is why would someone steal them, then just dump them???  They were such lovely boys, and I couldn't be happier with the ending to this story!

Amber thank you so very very much for all that you did tonight for those two lost souls. Helen and I were trying to think who we could possibly get that was near enough to help you, and we both felt so useless, being miles away. So releived when you said you had them. Well done to you all for reuniting them with each other for starters. Hopefully they will be found to have microchips tomorrow. Thanks Amber - you are an absolute star ! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a night!  The neighbourhood watch coordinater in my village rang me this evening to say he was driving back though the village, and saw a lady parked awkwardly on the side of the road with her car door open, and when approached, she said she'd seen 2 dogs.  The neighbourhood watch coordinater managed to catch 1 of the dogs, then went home to get a collar and lead for him.  He picked me up on the way back out, and we tried and tried to catch the other dog, but it wouldn't come more than half a field away from us!  After 3 hours of trying, 2 young men in the village chased him about 2 miles up the road in their car, then the dog stopped, and they were able to pick him up, phew!  These 2 dogs looked completely lost, and asif they didn't have a clue what to do, or where to go!  We are wondering if the lady we saw was dumping them, although we obviously can't be sure.  I now have these lovely boys at my house.  I will ring the dog warden tomorrow to see if any dogs have been lost.  They look to be father and son, they're both entire, and both very calm, sweet, licky boys.  They seem rather submissive and nervous.  I'm so glad I have them both safe, and they were very happy to be reunited!  The neighborhood watch coordinater has put emails out to the people in our village, so hopefully we'll be able to get them back to their owner.  If I don't hear anything, I'll try and get them scanned for microchips as soon as I can!
