Can you take a look at terrier at Dogs Trust Snetterton? I know its Norfolk but some Suffolk/ Norfolk DW's send dogs  there. Says male, age OK but maybe head colour not right for lost dog. http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/billy1056084.aspx Might be worth a call before dog is rehomed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not sure if it was him or not, my mother and nephew (on half term) went over there today and poster and flyer dropped for about 3 hours and walked all the woods, and spoke to another lady who saw the dog and said he was very similar to the picture mum showed her, havent caught up with him yet though but not giving up!!! Has been a possible new sighting in Red Lodge Suffolk today, a lady saw the poster in a vets in Newmarket and recognised him, she had seen a lone jack russel similar to description wandering on his own, we went down but could not see him, are going to drop flyers off tomorrow.  Red Lodge is a fair distance from us, but he may have been picked up and somehow got there.  PollyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Polly - just be in contact with Kate, so she is aware now. She has indeed already given you the scenting info, but I have just mailed it again to you in case its got buried in your emails. Good luck ! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Polly - Excellent news about all the fresh sightings. What you need to do now is to plot each one onto an ordnance survey map or similar, with the times and date and see if you can see a pattern of his travels emerging. We may then be able to make a safe place for him with some of his bedding, and food, and some clothing of yours for the scent of home. This way we may be able to keep him in the area. Dont know if Auntie katie has emailed you scenting information but I will get those to you. Good Luck with this. Hopefully he will be home soon now. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanl you for all your help, we think the sighting at Fulbourn may have been a false alarm as another jack russell had been missing there as well at the same time but was reunited with its owner.  We have had a 3 phone calls from people in the west wratting, Balsham area today who are convinced that they have seen him, they described a dog vey similar covered in mud running on the road between west wratting and balsham and again today saturday, at the playing fields in Balsham, we have been to all locatations but have not seen him.  Have dropped more leaflets door to door in neighbouring villages and put posters up on local popular dog walking sights.  We have also walked the roads and not seen any evidence of him harmed.  We really think he is in the balsham / west wratting area and hope that anyone who has seen him comes forward soon.  We really really do appreciate all the help that we are getting it truly is invaluable and thank you all for your kind and very supportive efforts in trying to bring him home safely.  With very very best wishes PollyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This little stinker was being walked round the owners land for his last walk of the night and disappeared to the neighbouring farm after their little girlie who in season as the moment.  They shoo'd him away but he didn't come home.  Owners have already done masses of postering and, from those, he has been spotted in Fulbourn Nature Reserve today but has now disappeared again.  Have emailed general information, and notified local dog wardens, vets and shelters etc. Stay safe little one! x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
