So very, very sorry to hear about Baily. Run free dear boy. Go play with my kitty Binky. She'll love you. She was really a dog in a cat's body. I was so hoping you would make it home to your parents, but you are in a different home now sweetheart. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh Bailey, beautiful boy, I am so sorry that this has happened to you. What an awful ending for all concerned. God bless you boy. xx

***

Miss me, but let me go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free

Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go

For this is a journey that we must all take
And each must go alone
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home

When you are lonely, and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go

I am so very sorry to see that Bailey has gone to rainbow bridge. I had been checking his page everyday and was so hopeful that he would be ok with all the recent sightings of him. Thoughts are with his ownes at this very sad time. Run free at the bridge gorgeous Bailey. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly I have had a text from the owner to say that Bailey has been found dead in a ditch. There are no further details at this stage. I am so very sorry. You worked so hard to get Bailey home. Thinking of you. Run free at the bridge, handsome boy. Nothing to worry about now. Sweet dreams. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Two strays from the local hunt were caught a few days back, and since then there hasn't been any reported sightings of Bailey. It may be that he has moved out of the immediate area to investigate further afield.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bailey was seen again last night searching for food around bins in Bradworthy. He seems to be staying within the triangle. Owners are still scenting the area to hold him there, and hopefully are following the advice to get a feeding station set up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bailey was sighted in Holsworthy again today, at 7.a.m. Owners just need the lucky break now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No sightings reported today, but Bailey seems to be tracking a triangle. Owner has made everyone aware with a great poster campaign, as well as scenting, etc. so here's hoping it is just a matter of time now. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Two sightings of Bailey today, both in Bradworthy. Owners continuing to be proactive, and the posters are working. Hoping now that Bailey turns back towards Holsworthy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners very proactive, lots of posters out, and a sighting of Bailey yesterday. It looks as if he is tracking a particular area in and around Holsworthy, so have recommended continuing to scent, and suggested they start BBQ-ing. Fingers crossed Bailey will be tempted by the food smells.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I notice Bailey is missing from the same area as Phoebe Goldie (21753). It would be helpful if the owners of both dogs could work together postering, etc.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

From owner: LOST DOG - in Holsworthy Woods near Devon UK. Bailey - 10 year old male GSP. Maybe a little shy or cautious to approach strangers. He bolted after hearing gunfire.

Bailey was adopted from CA GSP Rescue by Tracey and Steve several years ago. They have recently moved to England and are desperate to find Bailey.
