Thanks for keeping us updated, Jan. He was a lovely fella and the whole office will be delighted he's been reunited with his family. Also wanted to say what a great site this is! D.

Thanks for posting Digsy, I've just confirmed with RSPCA that his owner has picked him up late on 31.12.09.  Well done for taking the time to look after him and contacting the right people.  Welcome home feller and into the blue you go.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

2.20 p.m.  I've just contacted the RSPCA, his owner may have been in touch, they are going to the RSPCA to see if this Akita is their missing boy.  Kennels close at 3.00 p.m. for the New Year so we will not have an update until RSPCA open again.  Fingers crossed he is reunited soon.  Good luck.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo now uploaded, thanks for sending it.  I've spoken to the RSPCA and he is there, they have not had chance to fully check him over as to whether neutered or not.  Will update when more info is found out.  Jan x  Proof of ownership will be needed to claim him if you are his owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great - thanks Jan.  I’ve just emailed the picture over  Supposedly he was as good as gold whilst waiting in my brothers office to be collected by the dog warden.  Poor chap.

Thanks bumpkin for registering the details on DL, I've tried your mobile (no answer) will send you a text re the photo. This boy will have been taken to Halewood RSPCA (0151-486-1706) I can follow it up and see if they have him and also what happens to him.  I am in work at the moment.   Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

These details are all second-hand as this dog (who looks like an Akita to me) was found by my brother in his office carpark in Bootle, near Liverpool.  I have a photograph but it doesn't seem to want to upload.
The local dog warden has taken him I assume to a local recue centre.  Let's hope he is claimed before it's too late.
He wasn't wearing a collar and isn't microchipped.
