What a fab day for Collies in East Anglia.  Misty is home!!  Clever little girl managed to find her way home from a place she'd never been before,  cross 8 lanes of busy traffic to cross the A1(M), cover 12 miles and only get a sore paw in the process!  Very very happy to move this girlie to the blue! We had a call via Doglost yesterday from a lady who saw a B.Collie that was hit by a vehicle on the A1 earlier in the week. We tried to get hold of the owner with the sad news but it wasn't Misty - she came home yesterday morning (26/11/09). :-)  We haven't been notified about any other Collies missing in that area but i will contact neighbouring dog wardens now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have crossposted the link to several email groups I am on .. hopefully that will mean more people on the look out - I have all fingers crossed that Missy is found safe and well very soon indeed.   Stay safe.   I have also posted details on our Valgrays Border Collie Rescue website (scroll down page for lost/found collie): http://valgraysbcrescue.webs.com/hotnews.htm Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Misty female Border Collie, black and white she will be 11 years old this Saturday. She is wearing a pink and white collar with no ID.  Went missing on 23rd November when on a walk between rural villages Polebrook and Hemington, near Peterborough although this is actually in East Northants District.  Owner mobile:  07936 378615..  She is out all the time searching for her pet ? there have been sightings in Elton 1pm on 23rd and also a black and white dog was seen on the A15 near Hampton, Peterborough (making her way home?) on 23rd at 4 ? 4:30pm. Police attended and the dog was reported to run off to the nearby brickworks.  A sighting has been reported this morning away from home again (25th) near the A1 at Chesterton (Peterborough), she may have to cross the A1 to try to get home to Yaxley L.   ValerieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
