Thank God for such lovely people and this terrific facility.  I only saw the poster of Sidney in Stamford Brook but it broke my heart to think of him possibly suffering in the cold and wet.  I am SO delighted he is home with his family.  If he could talk, I wonder what he would tell you he got up to!  Well done everyone. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So pleased to see Sidney is back home.  I have been following his story every day since he went missing and keeping my fingers crossed that he will be in the blue when I log on. His owners have worked so hard to get him back and stayed so strong, well done. Only sorry I couldn't of helped look for him, but I'm a few hundred miles away. He looks such a handsome little man - he melted my heart. Keep safe Sidney, well done and best wishes to owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I walk by the park at the junction of Bath Road/Stamford Brook Road/Prebend Gardens where lots of dogs are walked.  This is where I first spotted Sidney's poster on the gate.  It's no longer there.  I suggest someone puts it back up and also sticks more posters on lamp posts in the area - although it is quite a distance from where he was lost.  Be sure to make the posters waterproof.  I am praying for him and his family.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lees - reply to your question below - as my advice earlier by email you may not have seen yet - log all sightings on a map with the times, otherwise we cannot go forward with this. Need to see the pattern he is moving to and then you may be able to select the best place for a food station. There is no quick or easy way, but this is proven to work, time and time again. You should see a pattern emerging if not already, then pretty soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The scenting information, and a long email with advise should be in your inbox lees. Cannot ring you now, its one oclock in the morning, but you have all the information you need. Follow what I've said, - know exactly waht you are going to do, and stick with it, but DO read it all over and over first, and plot those sightings. You need the sightings plotted as a base to build the plan on. Good Luck now. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I really feel for you, but please try not to think those thoughts, as hard as it is...i know i have been thereHe may well be with someone who has took him in and not thought about contacting the rspca or local dog warden..its happens alot...also he is not chipped so if someone has reported him they wouldnt know your the owner...
all you can do is not to give up, just keep trying, if you do not have access to facebook get someone who does to make a page upi have stated a few times to get him on Gumtree...that site is used my thousands everyday...try the football clubs for tannoy messages...thousands will hear the message at half time..
you have done a brilliant job for what i have read, just dont give up trying, and try and think positive, i know its distressing and words dont really help, but i did not stop. 24/7 and i got my boy back..
i pray you will do as well..x

Have you tried contacting Fulham FC  ? I know its across the river, but you could ask if they will put out a tannoy message at half time, there will be thousands of people at the next home match...i did it with my local football teams when my dog went missing and 3 clubs all said they would do it.
Also with the hoax calls, be prepared i had them alot, and it is horrible, most are scum bags who are only intrested in a large reward...if its the first thing they say ’’ i got your dog what is the reward’’  just say ’ well thats funny cos my dog is sitting with me right now ’’ normally they just hang up. You can normally tell over the phone if they are genuine...if someone does call and sounds promisiing.. ask all questions about the dog, dont give anything away, see if the description matches exactly.arrange to meet them away from your home and dont go alone...
I pray you get him home soon...i got my boy back...so dont give up hope.x

Well done for the Richmond Times ad Lees. And another sighting at Barn Elms! Go girl ! Also - sounds like the lake area may need investigating. Is it a lake where people fish, as often dogs are atttracted there, and they may get snippits of food left behind. I think we need to eliminate that terrier sighting, or find out if its positive either way. Did the people who sighted the dog say if he looked muddy or grubby, or if he looked clean at all? Maybe ask at the pet shops near there, and local dog walkers if there is a local terrier that could keep getting out. Vets may also help you.  If it could be Stanley we have to think where he could be holed up, or finding food around. Look for raided bin bags, and is it near to any takeaway food places where a terrier could find food? Try postering along any routes that children walk from school, as they will notice a terrier about. Good idea about the bbq, especially if there is anywhere near the sightings where there is quiet spot of land, any cemetary or similar in the area also? Dogs again, often hole up in a cemetary where its quiet. Good luck for another sighting today. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lees - thanks for posting up here - it helps enormously. Have you checked out the list I sent of places to poster? What about train, and bus stations - hundreds passing through there, Community halls, Sports centres, clinics,  Doctors, pet shops, Other animal feed stores, garages, taxi ranks, and offices, Sorting offices-go crack of day and hand out to posties coming out. Postmen always know of a new dog on the block. Bin men, street cleaners, Milk depots - Churches - colleges - bus stops - re-cycling centres - supermarkest, and their car parks- other carparks - public toilets - dog bins, and dog walking areas - childrens playgrounds. Poster outside the travellers sites - handflyers to them as they go in and out, they mormally very helpful - riding stables- Do it yourself stores and warehouses - take away shops - off licences - clubs, bars, restaurants, post offices, newsagents, corner shops, bakers, dog groomers etc etc, Somebody has seen him xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

aww he is a cutie...Right, ( if you haven’t already ) Put an advert on Gumtree on the lost and found section...also in the selling section, as that’s the page that always gets looked at the most..
Check  websites, Pets4homes, epupz and ukclassifieds daily...in case someone has him and has put him up for sale...
Have you got Facebook ??  if so make a page stating he is stolen...that will get as many eyes seeing him  as possible...
Target the uni’s and colleges and schools with posters, Kew Gardens are good for putting posters up...cab offices, pubs clubs, post offices etc
good luck hope the lovely boy is home so very soon x

Sorry to see that Sidney is missing. There is a temporary poster available now, by clicking on DOG POSTER 1 above the dog detail boxes, left hand side. Comments can also be left on this page by clicking on the small blue cross above this comment. You need to be registered and logged in to do this. Posters need to be put out in their hundreds as quickly as possible, both near the area of loss and further away. Do be sure to poster as many pubs in the area, and further out, as you can as this is often where dogs get sold on. Hopefully Sidney will be home soon. I will send owner some information sheets to get them started. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
