Update received today via email from finder:

I have had contact from a couple who lost their yorkshire terrier - called Lucy - in September. They have Lucys mother I was going to take Yorkie to their home to view today but have been called in to work. I am in the process of arranging for Lucys owners to view yorkie over the weekend. I have given loads of information about her but not had any photo or information that tallies "Yorkie" with Lucy. I have given them the web site address and reference so that they can list their dog. I have also e-mailed more photo’s to them.

This is not Princess unfortunately the dog I have is 3 years or older

Thanks for the update on this girl.  Jan x

Email and photo/s from finder:

Seems used to cats - ok in footwell of car.  Listens out when cars stop outside. Whimpers and jumps up at leg when needs toilet.  Likes bacon but not sausages.  Has a wee or whatever and makes her way straight back in to house - will not toilet in backyard. Likes sleeping in cats bed under table then when fire on lies in living room. Not sure if has allergy to flees have bathed twice - not very keen on bath but tolerated. Very sweet natured but a bit nervous.

Dog was found outside Witton Country Park Pavilion Cafe - waiting on steps (thought she was waiting for a customer) was there a few hours and no-one knew who she belonged to. One of the staff recognised her from the day before. We let her in although dogs should be on a lead she promptly sat under the table until closing time.

Called in the local newsagents to ask if she was local the staff there said she was wandering round on Thursday in the area. Cherry Tree Blackburn BB2

Dog had a few dogs around her on Friday.  Think she may be in season. Not micro chipped. Was not wearing a collar.

Not very good photos had to use flash on camera.

Thanks for the photo/s and email, greatly appreciated.  Well done for taking the time to look after her.  Hope you find her owner soon.  Good luck.  Jan x

Have been alerted to this found dog by a few helpers and Co-ordinators as a possible match for Poppy ID 20270.  Spoken to finder who is aware of Poppy and has tried calling her Poppy but she does not respond to it  Hopefully a photo will be sent to us.  Poppy's carer is going to contact the finder as well. This Yorkie was also seen wandering around the Cherry Tree area on Thursday 15.10.09.  She is very quiet, house trained and seems used to travelling in foot well of a car.  She has been checked for a Chip and reported to the DW.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
