Max has been found locally. He had fallen into a trench and couldn't get out. He is fine and now re-united with his very happy Dad!   Do so love a happy ending :)

The dog has been scanned for a chip, I have all singing all reading scanner and nothing come up but will scan again. I dont think this dog is 7 its teeth are imaculate and had mannerisms of a young dog but will get the dog checked by the vet. We are only an about 1- 1/2 hours away from Gatwick max, if the owner wants to check to be sure.

I'm posting this on behalf of the owner. 
Max slipped his collar last Monday and although some postering has been done the only sighting was that day of him crossing over the motorway bridge heading towards Copthorne.  Max is a nervous dog and is likely to run from strangers.
Owner has contacted Dog Warden, Police, Local Vets and Airport Police (Gatwick). I have suggested Radio Mercury and Southern Counties Radio.
Max has either been taken in or is hiding in the vast area of woodland that is in this area.  Max has only lived here about 3 weeks, before this he was 18 months in Millers Lane, Outwood and before that 2years in Crawley Down. Owner has had him since the day he was born! (unfortunately mum is no longer with us). Owner has been back to both previous addresses and alerted neighbours etc. I have asked owner to try and get a better photo but this will have to do for now.
