I'm so pleased to hear that Kimmy is back home - thank goodness she was found by such a nice family but shame on the vet. I noticed this one yesterday as Loughton is my home town and so good to hear that it's still full of nice, caring people! Can this very precious girl have a microchip and an ID tag on her collar (to be worn at all times) as you really cannot be too careful these days. Welcome home Kimmy!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FOUND HER!!!!!!! Have been crying happy tears for an hour! I put up posters this morning and had a call within 3 hours!  Bless, she was found by a lovely family and has been wormed, de-flead [not that she had any!!!!] loved and spoilt rotten!!!! Just one point for future reference.... I reported her missing to my vet and that's where she was taken to be scanned.  At no point did my vet put two and two together and call me!!!! If you have lost your dog please be aware of this.....keep calling your local vets!!!!!! A very happy ending!!!! Lisa xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear there's no news yet Lisa. Have you rung Battersea? Make sure you ring neighbouring councils/dog warden too. Really important you start getting posters up in the area. Also, you could put flyers through local doors, hand out to people etc. You can download a poster from Kimmy's page here on Doglost, and we can do smaller flyers for you, but we need to get a photo first really - posters etc will be noticed much more with a photo and of course it helps people who are searching. Do you have a photo? If not we may have a similar one we can use from our photo library? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have phoned RSPCA, dog warden and PDSA....nothing!!! Am waiting for the vets to open...and will then start with the posters.  All neighbours are aware....this is a little dog that would not normally leave the house without me or my daughter.....WHERE IS SHE?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you.... I too am hoping it's just a case of someone having taken her in over-night....it was getting dark when she disappeared....and they will hand her in in the morning. I've already got my list of numbers to ring and will be on it first thing tomorrow! Will be back in touch on here first thing tomorrow morning...thank you for your help. Sorry to see Kimmie is missing. I've emailed you some guidance and advice etc. Please make sure you have notified local council, vets, Battersea, RSPCA, PDSA, kennels etc then poster the area, hopefully someone has taken her in since she escaped and when they see the posters will call you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm ashamed to say that my dog is not chipped....nor was she wearing her collar and tag, as she has run from the house without our knowledge. She is a little girl, about 8-9 inches at the shoulder and very very slim.  She answers to Kim or Kiki. I'm at a loss as to where she could be as normally she would never leave the house alone....even if she managed to get into the front garden she'd sit by the door and cry to be let back in!!!! I have contacted the police, but there is not much I can do til the morning....apart from comfort my daughter :O[  Stay safe baby girl....Mummy's looking for you xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
