Great to see Duchess is home.  Well done to the neighbour for doing the right thing and contacting her owner rather than try to get her themselves.  Welcome home Duchess.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I’m overjoyed to move Duchess to the blue. Welcome home baby !! I’m so happy for your Mum. You stay safe now  XX Excited email from Duchess’s Mum which will tell the story. :- Hi Hazel

Just to let you know my little Duchess made her way home today. I’m thinking of renaming her ’Lassie’.

Got a call from a neightbour today saying that she was in his field but he didn’t want to go near her incase she ran away. l drove home with lightening speed thank god there was no other cars on the road l’d have rolled over them if there was. There she was in the field covered in mud but as soon as she heard my voice she came running to me. I will never forget that moment. I drove down the passage way to my house and she squeeled as soon as we went in the driveway.

Took her to the vets just to have her checked out. She was a little lame l just wanted to makesure it was nothing serious. But John the vet said that she ok and it will take a few days to come around.

I put up loads of posters like you said around over 20 Mile raduis. (lots of little villages so l covered all my options... Got no phone calls until today but she was home by then. So sad that there is 3 other little white dogs running around out there.

Thank you for your advice

Take Care

Photo received and uploaded. A poster can now be printed by clicking on DOG POSTER 1 above the dog detail boxes, left hand side. You need to be registered and logged in top do this. Comments can be written by clicking on the small blue cross above this message. Email from Owner My dog is a Terrier cross, she is 10yrs old and had been neutered. She has a white curly coat with brown marking on her ears and on her lower back, Her coat is very light so when she gets wet you can see blacks spots on her skin. I live in a rural town in Ireland called Glin in County Limerick.

On Wednesday evening when l went out to bring the 2 of them in for the night only Cisco came in, Duchess was no where to be seen. This was at first not unusual as she likes to play games. So l went in, closed the door and turned out the lights. After 5 mins or so l opened the door, now normaly she would have bounded in the door but she was no where to be seen. l knew straight away something was up. I put on my boots grabbed a torch and went looking for her . She never came when l called and l couldn’t see her anywhere. l had to wait til light to go have a proper look but l came out to check whether she went into her kennel at least 8 times that night.

She never did return. l checked my  garden in the morning and throughout the day. l went to neighbours to check with them, l searched all the neighbouring fields... Not a sign of her anywhere. There was also no sign of a struggle in my garden, so l was able to rule out her been attacked by foxes or badgers. l can only assume that she has been stolen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
