We all could not be happier this fella made it home, We dont know what happened to Deasel but Maria at Lynton has worked so hard to bring him around and Im sure his recovery will be swift now he is back home. Well done Jo and Doglost for all the hard work and tons of phonecalls trying to get this dog home, it had been a very fraught few days!

Hi my name is skye hurling this looks like my dog deasel he is advertised on dog lost and some one put a coment on there saying he could be hm i looked him up and he looks like deasel.Has he got a mole near his groin and very very friendly.You can emaile me @ moonpig83@googlemail.com could you plese let me know a.s.a.p as he is so missed thankyou

Monica has since emailed me and this is sadly not Muppet. They've compared markings, photos etc and they don't match.

Hi All I can see how this could be Muppet but so skinny. I 've received the additional photos but it's hard to tell. This dog has a very long thin neck. It's not possible for us to get to Essex at the moment and Frank is very dubious becaue no chip was found, but more importantly, this dog has no scar behind his left ear. To be honest, I'm not sure. Is there any chance we could have more photos of the whole dog and maybe a view from the front. I'm sorry if I sound demanding but we have already suffered so many heartbreaking disappointments and each time this happens we go through emotional turmoil. I'd be grateful. Thanks, Monica

No scar has been found and the dog has been rescanned throughly again for a chip but again nothing found. I have emailed Frank more photos of this guy and he is more than welcome to visit the kennels to check the dog.

Jotty, thanks for continuing to keep an eye out for Muppet. I think of him often and long for the day when he is reunited with Frank and Monica. I feel quite convinced that it's only a matter of time until this boy 'comes to light'. Fingers crossed - please let it be Muppet!

There was a lost rottie in Holland on Sea recently could this be him can't remember the name a friend of mine lost a dog not many miles from holland and his dog ended up in basildon area

Frank please ring the contact number and talk to the dog warden and if possible go and see him, it's not always easy to tell from a photo.

It's possible that's Muppet - lost dog 16469. There's something about that dog that makes my hearbeat quicken. But it's hard to tell from the pic. It's possible that Muppet's chip fell out due to a massive head injury he sustained as a youngster. Does this dog have a long scar running from nearly the top of his head down behind his left ear? It's not that easy to see the scar even though it's a biggy. You'd have to part his fur and go looking for it.
