Thanks Stella for letting us know.  I have tried contacting Lia's family for an update to see if she is still missing.  If you get any more news on the sighted dog let us know.  Has the DW for the area been informed?  Jan x

00.35 am just come back from driving around nelson area the staff had been spotted by a few people, last sighting 10.30pm around corner from Holly Bush pub, It had been following people & even run in someones house. Its obviously lost I will try to find again 2moro

I've googled the sighted area and it is CF41 which is approx 20-24 miles from where Lia went missing.  Jan x

Hi, just saw a dark coloured (possibly black) staff with tan leather collar by the Holly Bush pub in Nelson Mid Glam. At approx 8.30pm this evening (9th August) It had that lost dog look about it & was moving at speed by the time I turned my car around it had vanished. I searched the website & come up with your dog as a possibility. I will have another look, can you put up another pic if poss!

So sorry that Lia is missing and I do hope she is found soon. Just wanted to say welcome to Kieron, new helper, and thank you for your post. Kieron is the owner of lovely Jessie reunited staffy girl PE13. he has some good advice, and worked so hard to get his girl home. Good luck with Lia. I'm sure she will be home soon too. You just need massive publicity as quickly as possible.

BLANKET AWARENESS hi there i have recently lost my staffy and Hazel from dog lost was great at giving advice and helped get my dog back and helping me from going mad, i found that by getting some sheets of timber board and getting a paint brush with some white gloss out and make some high vis sign boards and put them in your village or street and along any main roads i had 12 sightings within a few hours of getting the sign boards out, the boards do work people going to work coming home at night !!! make sure you speak to all public meeting points to spread the word, post office, butcher, doctors surgery, petrol stations I put ..............lost dog - name of my village .........any news or info pls call ...................reward .............get as many boards out as you can asap and have one outside ya front garden dont give up spread the word call ya friends and family x Hope you find soon x Kieron

Just spoken to owner. They have contacted the authorities but not put any posters up yet. Tried to stress the importance of making people aware that she's missing. Will look for a photo and send it, if they find one. Good luck. Hope Lia is safely home soon.
