Well done Badger for all your hard work.  Thankfully a happy outcome for this lovely girl this time, but one of these days she will end up in the wrong place and will never get home - unless her owners take the trouble to get a collar and tag (a legal requirement) and a microchip.  Stay safe now young lady. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Aaa, sometimes I just really don't understand some people!  She looks a lovely girl!

I have checked with the kennels this lovely girl was taken to.  She is well-known to them, and her owners will be collecting her this evening. A collar with ID, even better a microchip, would have prevented this girl spending the best part of 2 days in kennels.  The owner is also very fortunate to keep getting her home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly this dog isn't Bridget. She's apparently something of a regular at the rescue she turned up in so they have called her owners and she's back home safe!
So our search goes on but thanks to everyone who has alerted us. All your support is helping a lot.

Good luck lurcherowner, hope this is her.  Jet is still not home, she was stolen in Kent with her pups Aug 2007 No. 10517 and looks similar but maybe her nose is whiter.  Worth a look. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to the lady who found this dog which does sound very like Bridget. She has given me the contact details for the vet where they took the dog and I will call tomorrow. It looks like this lurcher's feet are a bit whiter than our Bridge but who knows - otherwise very similar so fingers crossedd

Is there a chance this dog could be Bluey - 15303 - Lost 26 Sep 08?  A long time since she went missing, and a long way from home, but worth checking.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The full circumstances of this dog being found are on www.scottiedoglovers.co.uk and www.wintertoncouncil.co.uk  There has recently been a Fair visiting locally , which has now moved on. She appears to be a very friendly girl, who loves her tummy being tickled.              Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
