Wonderful news, thanks Jayne for the phone call this afternoon to let me know, bless Dan he managed to find some nice dog walkers and gave himself up, his owners had given him all the ID that he needed to get him back quickly once he waas caught.Big thanks to those people and welcome home Dan

e mail from owner:   This is to let you know that my dog the trailhound, DAN ID number 18919 has fortunately, been found  by a member of the public and returned safely.

Thanks for your help so far. We're desperate to have Dan home asap, so if you have any good tips for us, please let me know. We've check the area repeatedly yesterday and put out flyers but still no news :-( Will keep looking this evening. I should also mention that Dan is an ex-racing dog and has his racing ID numbers tattooed inside both ears.

I have added nervous wording to the poster and mobile number that owners would like to use if Dan is spotted. Dan is a rescue dog and although he has been with owners for a year now he is still nervous of strangers and bolted when he was startled.

Correction! Dan was lost on a walk in Shenley Park, near Radlett, Herts, not in Kings Langley.

Dan Is a racing breed and is tatooed with numbers in both ears. This will help identification when found

I have spoken with owners this is Kings Langley Herts and he was lost on a walk in Shenley woods area, Dan is a very nervous rescue dog so please do not approach but call owners immediately.owners are going to leave clothing and scent the area that he was lost in and go back when it is getting dark tonight.

I have left a message on owners phone to call back - I don't think the postcode is correct on this one - there is a Shenley in MK5 but the telephone number is more like Watford area
