Many thanks to Norma for the lovely reunited photos which are now uploaded. What a gorgeous boy he is and its so good to see him looking happy back in his home and so dapper after a bath and some grooming. I'm not sure who he is poking his tongue out at though lol. So pleased you have got him a chip and thankyou for the email. Once again welcome home little man xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is great news, and fantastic that Dennis's adventure was short lived and brought to a swift and happy conclusion so quickly! Please now have him microchipped as soon as possible!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FANTASTIC news !!!  Norma has seen the photos of the found dog and it is Dennis !! A very happy Norma will be collecting him from the kennels asap. A big thankyou  to the lady from RSPCA Chesterfield  who found him, looked after him overnight and then  handed him in. A cute little boy like this could so easily have fallen into the wrong hands ! Also thanks to the person who spotted the poster and rang his owners to let them know he had been picked up. Welcome home Dennis the menace and please stay safe from now on Pam xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners have been able to make contact with the kennels the found dog was taken to and it sounds almost certain it is Dennis !!  The time the found dog was picked up and  character and descriptions of him match. They thought he might be a cross between a King Charles Spaniel and a pug as they are not familiar with this breed and to me this sounds a very good description of Dennis ! They are sending a photo of the found dog through to Norma his owner and as soon as she can confirm it is definately little Dennis ( and I do so hope it is !!)  we will move him to the blue !  Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dennis' owner has just called me !! Someone has called her to say a dog they think is  Dennis was picked up on Sunday and kept overnight before being taken to kennels yesterday at some point. We are keeping our fingers crossed it was Dennis and are just waiting for more news ! Norma  will ring me as soon as she hears anything ! Everything crossed here  Pam xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Why not draw attention to the fact that Dennis is missing by renting or buying a megaphone (hand held loud speaker) and standing in a busy place and let people know that your dog is missing.  You could also hand out doglost posters at the same time.  It may be possible that the media will get to hear of what you are doing and give you some good coverage.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I cross posted this onto the Rescue Helpers Unite Forum last night as most people on baord are involved with kennels or pounds. Hope this little one is too hot to handle & back home soon    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We drove down to Chesterfield and spent the afternoon postering and giving out flyers and also saw  Dennis' owner who has still had no sightings or news at all of this little chap. His owners are hoping to have some media coverage. Hoping for some news of Dennis very soon Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Dennis' owner tonight and a photo is being emailed into admin. They have been postering but we need to get as many posters out there as we can to make this boy too hot to handle. Any help with postering would be very gratefully recieved ! x PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
