Hi, lurcher found in Dorset, photo here: http://on.fb.me/ilBgph (url shortened) - he is in bad condition so the photo is upsetting.
Carer has tried to call the number listed but can't get through, if you know the owner please make contact with Lizz at Dorset Dog Rescue on 07801 282624.
I hope you can connect and check if this is your dog, fingers crossed it could be him after so long xxx

At this time of year why not get in touch with the camping and caravan sites that are in your area to put up posters.  Campers have time for walking and talking and many have dogs. One of the web sites I would suggest is ukcampsite.co.uk holds many areas in the UKLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gina is it possible to get the owner registered on here so she can keep in regular touch with helpers and update us how things are going?  I appreciate the information may be sensitive, but there are helpers in the local area who can help. Have the Plymouth DW's been updated? Also I feel that Murphy would be better off being re-classified as a lurcher, rough coat.  Anyone finding a similar looking dog wouldn't be looking for a dog classified as a whippet in my opinion, so it would be awful if Murphy was missed. Has anyone rung Foredowne kennels at Newton Abbbot?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great to see you on here Suzyb, we need people with local knowledge, would it be possible for you to contact the owner to make sure this has been done? They will also be able to tell you exactly where Murphy went missing and where there were possible sightings.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo now uploaded, please can you print off posters, with the week end coming it would be a good idea to poster carparks in popular walking areas around Murphy's home. Let's hope there are sightings soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes,we realy need that photo, if it is on a cameraphone it can be sent straight to admin or sent to my number which the owner has. Can we also get some media coverage, local papers and Devon Radio would be good.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This little chap is a whippet x beddlington, a much loved pet. There have been possible sightings of him close to home, about 2 miles away but these are not confirmed. Owners have been doing all the right things, having a bbq in the area etc. I will now be sending scenting instructions, please do not try to catch but call owners imediatly if you see him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
