Ive just been on to the council website and this pup has now been reunited with her owners.  Thanks to Jan and everyone who tried to help to get her back to her owners.  Apparently the vets nurse at the vets where I took her to see if she had been microchipped, had registered the dogs details at the pound and then taken her home to look after her until her owners could be traced, so she didnt have to stay in kennels, which was a lovely thing to do, but im soooooo happy that this dog has gone home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jan for putting the picture on the website, I was just going to do that but you beat me to it!  Hopefully the owners may ring the pound on Monday to see if she is there.  Ive put her on the National Pet Register too just in case.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes she does Noodle, rescue have got her down as a Collie cross.  We do not have a breed description for a Belgian Shepherd cross, if she is not a full one.  She looks like a looked after girl and hopefully her owners will be found soon.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Julie for taking the time to look after this dog and also tying to find its owner.  Did you manage to get any pics?  Also do you know now whether it is a male or female?  Will keep a check on the Pound website and see if they upload a photo as they very often do.  Fingers crossed its owner is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry again, last posting for now!  I have also put this on the Wirral RSPCA website under the lost animals section and will put up some posters over the weekend in the area the dog was found.  Im wondering if the dog was visiting the area (with its family!) as it didnt seem to know where it was and nobody I asked in the area when i was walking around with it,seemed to recognise it.  Fingers crossed somebody may know who it belongs to.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry if this is long winded but the dog seems like it somebodys pet and im desperate for the owner to find it.  The dog was wearing two collars - one black half fabric/half choke chain and the other blue half fabric/half choke chain but there was no tag and he/she is not microchipped.  If anyone needs any details, etc please call me on 0794 038 2235.  Thanks.  Julie. Hi, I found a small/medium sized dog in Waterpark Road in Prenton, Wirral at midday on 19th June 2009.  He/she looks like an older dog and has a light coloured body with a darker head, the face looks similar to a belgian shepherd but the dog is fairly small and it is hard to tell what breed it is as the hair has been very recently clipped but the hair on the dogs head, stomach, tail and feathers on front legs has been left long.  I found it in my lunch hour and took it to the vets in Prenton (when i eventually caught it off the road) but it was not microchipped.  It is in good condition and looks like its been well looked after and is a really sweet natured but nervous dog.  As i was late going back to work, the lady at the vets said that she would take it to the Wirral Council Kennels, and i have emailed the kennels to let them know and received a reply off them.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
