We have now managed to piece together what happened. Julies van was broken into on her drive and Chunk was taken in the time it took for her to fetch 2 more dogs from the house. The van was locked and the rear door had been forced open. The other 2 dogs in the van were left. A lad in a baseball cap was spotted by a passerby dragging him down a side road. When approached, the lad ran off and Chunk ran down a path and was picked up by somebody driving past. This man then took him home with him and then called the number on his tag. Unfortunately it was Shanes number and not Julies and his phone was switched off as he was abroad. Almost 5 hours after he was taken Julie had a call on her mobile and went to collect him. Since then she has heard that 2 other bull terriers have been taken from the local area in the last few weeks.
