Great news !!  Spike is home !!!    Have had a lovely email from Spike?s Dad to say he is sorry he has not been able to get on to a computer, but someone found Spike in a field a couple of miles away and saw one of the posters that they had put up! He phoned yesterday lunchtime and they went and picked him up! Apart from being very hungry, he is absolutley fine!

He thanks us very much for helping out with the posters and all the help and support, and that if it were not for the posters they would have never got him back. Don?t think they can believe their luck !!   Spike is now getting a chip and will be having a close eye kept on him so he doesn’t take himself off for a wander again!  Welcome home Spike ? so very pleased for you little fella x

Email from owner :- Hi Hazel,

Thank you for coming back to us so quickly.

He wandered off on his own on Tuesday as he regularly does but he normally would just go for a short time and would definatley come back for his dinner in the evening. The door has been left ajar for him to get in but there has been no sign for the last two nights. He had just had a bath and therefore did not have his collar on.
There are travellers close by in this area and we had thought that it was a possibility.  Lets hope not.
Thank you so much for all the information, I will print the flyers off and we will post as many around the area as possible, especially in the pubs.

Thanks again R Have asked if he would like flyers.

23.40  Have sent an A4 poster, details on registering, general information sheet, and advice, and postering guidelines. Owner, if you would care to register, you can leave comments by clicking on the blue cross which you can see when logged in. More details of how Spike went missing from the house would be helpful. Thanks, and Good Luck. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner thank you for your email to register Spike. So sorry he has gone missing from your home. I will email you an information sheet which will help you, but you need to get posters up in the area straight away. The more posters, the more chance of getting him home safely. Also if he has run off himself, please leave the way open for him to get back in, as could find his own way home. Also leave some bedding, food, and water, and an item of your clothing with your scent. This will hopefully stop him running off again if he comes back during the night. If stolen - you need to inform the police and get a crime no. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
