Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
One very happy owner has today been reunited! She checked Doglost only to see her dog she'd lost listed on our found register! Another success from the partnership between Basildon Council and Doglost. She was understandably thrilled to bits!  This dog was actually found in the Thurrock Council area (Stanford le Hope) but the finder was from Basildon and called her council hence why the dog went through Basildon council's system - and thank god she did because Thurrock seem to have failed her. Basildon DW always passes cross border stray details on to the relevant neighbouring council, and this case was no different - Thurrock council and the kennels used were both notified of this found dog. Disappointing then that when the owner called both of these places during her search she was told they knew of no such found dog.   The owner has learnt a valuable lesson, and certainly will be doing everything possible to avoid loosing her baby again. He's already been microchipped, so thats good news too.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
