Text sent for update. Owner says if she was stolen for breeding her pups would have been due a couple of weeks ago so please look out for JRT pups for sale in about 5 weeks time.

Had a call from owner. Sadly the dog that was sighted turned out not to be Barbie.

So pleased that Barbie has decided to make an appearance.  Me and my little JR have everything crossed for Barbie's safe return, let's hope she now thinks it's time to call it a day.x.

Owner has called back. We had a long chat and it turns out Barbie has been sighted just 800 yards from home. She is going to set up a feeding station in the hope that it will tempt her back. If that doesn't work we have discussed using a dog trap.

BARBIE HAS BEEN SIGHTED. Owner called this afternoon to say that someone had seen Barbie very close to home. Have advised about scenting, crouching down low and speaking gently. Unfortunately the mobile reception broke up and I can't get an answer on the landline. Have left messages. Barbie is very dirty and thin so she may be ready to give herself up.

I noticed the 'missing' ad for this little dog is still in our local paper this week. Still keeping an eye out, i wondered if anyone has postered the Bottesford area? I may be able to put some up during the week.

Hope you find her real soon, Speak to your local terrier club,(fell and lake land)  they were fab with the advise and information when i lost my JRT in March -yes we found her !
there is good advise on how to track a dog who is roaming-and how to work out where next the dog will go, (google earth) souinds promising if she has been spotted-put posters out every where, contact every dog warden, kennel. dogwalkers, local radio and papers, a poster in every pub ! hope you hav good news soon Ally x

Barbie still hasn't been found. Mentioned the trap but unfortunately there is no-one who could stay with it. A local lady is being very helpful and i have suggested setting up a feeding station.

You may need to use a trap to catch Barbie - send me text Ashmark if you think so and I'll put you in touch with someone in Lincs who has one. Hope she is home soon. x

Bottesford is very close to me i will keep a look out and show my son the pic as he and his friends play football at a couple of parks nearby. Hopefully the piece in the paper will work and she will be home soon.

Barbie was spotted last night in Bottesford near Scunthorpe. She was seen outside the chip shop near the Dolphin pub. Some children tried to catch her but she was scared and ran off. The last sighting of her was by a policeman who was trying to catch her. Julie has contacted the dog warden and police this morning but she hasn't been handed in. More posters are being put up in the area and luckily she is being featured in the Scunthorpe Telegraph and Target today.

This little girl looks so much like mine.  This is a longshot but take a look at this little girl on alfies lost dogs, found female jrt 17th May, posted today at 11.02am - I think her face has more white and it's a different area but worth a check?

Just spoken to owner. There have been a couple of sightings of Barbie on Saturday morning at about 5am  about half a mile from where she went missing. Unfortunately owner wasn't told about sightings until Tuesday. Have advised her about scenting.

I've told Maggie at Mill Rescue, Lincs who will keep an eye open and let some more people know about Barbie.

Do hope Barbie is found very soon. You need to get posters up as soon as poss.  You will need to login to do this then click on Dog Poster 1 at top of page, you can then print posters. Have alerted your excellent local helper who I know will send help and support. Stay safe Barbie till you are found. xx

Owner - Sorry to hear Barbie is missing.  Not sure if you are local to Hibaldstow, or whether your were visiting some of the activities that go on at the airfield. Kennels very local to Hibaldstow are Sangreat Kennels, Inglenook, Station Rd., Scawby, Nr Brigg (01652 652453); JG Sanctuary for Dogs, Wressle Rd., Broughton, Nr Brigg (01652 653343) and Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels, Cliff Farmhouse, The Cliff, Ingham, Lincs (01522 730502). Hope this helps and you are re-united with Barbie very soon.
