Ah you are lovely Molly!  I know all that gorse and rough stuff must have got your feet but hope you'll feel much better in a day or two.  Thanks for getting Dad to send the pic and for his appreciation.  Look forward to hearing how you're getting on when he can borrow someone else's pc!  Know you'll be spoiled even more now, maybe we'll bump into you at the vets one day. xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good luck at the vet today Molly.  I've asked Grant to let us know how she gets on and if he could possibly send a reunited pic.  He is hoping to make a donation which I know will be much appreciated. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FANTASTIC NEWS!  WELCOME HOME MOLLY.  And well done Jacquie8.  Just got home from postering and alerting people all around area when I got the call from Grant.  So clever Molly went back to where she'd left the car - it happens so often.  Apparently she's very thin and thirsty but hopefully she'll be ok and Grant says she'll get a check up at the vet tomorrow.  Well done Grant for working so hard to get her back home with you.  Harry must be delighted!  I'm thrilled to be able to move her over to Reunited.  xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

MOLLY IS SAFE AND WELL and now at home with Grant and Harry where she should be - Sorry to steal your thunder Grant but just couldn't wait to let everyone know. She was found on Sutton heath near the car park where Grant usually parks. She ran off but we managed to keep an eye on where she went until Grant got there. I'm so pleased for you all that she's safe and well where she should be - poor girl.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for email jimi. Molly's owner and yourself are working really hard I know on this. The more posters and flyers out, the more chance he has of a sighting, and as you say, it would be nice if she were to be visiting someones garden, even if its just to nick some cat food, then hopefully could get her contained. She will probably be out and about, when its quiet, so hopefully she will find some of the food owner is leaving too. Very soul destroying with no sightings, and not knowing if working in right area, but as we know, it sometimes takes quite a few days, and hundreds and hundreds of posters before any word at all. Maybe if owner is allowed in the place he thinks she went, he could sit quietly and cook some sausages on a portable barbyQue. Could keep the smell going for hours, and as we know, this has worked several times. Would be worth a shot.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have covered more of area around Eyke & Rendlesham today with posters and alerted dog walkers and local people.  Eyke Stores dogs were v restless today so I had a look around and left posters with them, they are kindly helping considerably.  Have emailed owner and suggested keeping food in car in case of sighting so a feeding station can be set up.  Molly will probably be most active around dusk and dawn.  I will go out and look again today Sun.  Hope to alert Poplar Park Riding Schl as riders are out in the area.  Owners are searching actively and must be getting exhausted by now.  Please show yourself Molly, you must be hungry and you need to be home with your family. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner having trouble posting: Message received :-   No sign of her yet. Think my browser my be incompatible with you site. I've made two areas close to where I normally park and did a poster drop in the pubs and shops from Sutton to Hollesley. Just home to sort things here at home and then off out again.
Many thanks for the help,
Grant

Have postered around area today + pubs and Woodbridge vet, also Forestry Commission Centre where lots of walkers go, who are putting posters up. Drove around looking but it's a very large area of forestry and heath, maybe Molly has headed into villages towards food so posters need to go up all around Holesley, Shottisham, etc so owners can get some feedback on sightings. xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so sorry your lovely Molly has been spooked on the Heath and is missing.  I have received posters and flyers, thank you Yasa, and have emailed poster to Pampered Pets and West End Kennels, the two kennels used by the Council for the area.  I will inform Dog Warden in morning in case owner has not already done so and will also contact owner to catch up and will then distribute posters and flyers.  Stay safe Molly till you are found. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Molly was spooked last night at about 7.00pm from Woodbridge Heath, when a bird scarer went off. She is a very nervouse dog, and will not be able to find her way home from area of loss, as owner takes her there in the car. Unfortunately, she may not return to the place where the car is always parked, and she would know, as this is where the bird scarer is. She has run straight down the road and then turned up a track, towards a different area of the heath, and owner thinks forced her way through a hole made in wire netting by the badgers, so she will be stuck in an area she does not know, and not be able to get out. Owner has been inside the area, and has been driven around by the game keepers looking for her, so they are all aware, and are searching the area. However she will probably be holed up for a couple of days at least, as so traumatised. Have spoken about scenting, maybe in two places, and have sent the scenting guidelines and contact numbers. Owner stayed up there in car last night and may do the same tonight, but fear is that she cannot get back to the correct area she last saw her owner. Postering will be done, and posters handed out to dog walkers. Many people and farmers are aware, but she will be difficult to catch, as so very nervouse. Owner has got another dog he is also walking the area with. Will make some flyers up for later, or tomorrow.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
