Another message left for an update. Not had a reply to my previous one so it could be that Violet is already home but will alert owner to the possible sighting if not. Thanks for letting us know. SueLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, i saw a black and white Collie at 12.15pm today, didnt see it clearly as husband and i were in the car on the M6 motorway, heading towards Manchester. The collie was running along the hard shoulder on The M6 Junction 18. Quite a few miles ahead there was a motorway warning sign displaying ANIMALS ON ROAD..PLEASE SLOW. Police may have picked the dog up.The collie may have come from a farm by the motorway, however i felt i have to post this as anything is possible, and i would hope somebody would have done the same for me if my beloved ever went missing. Good luck. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Violet is missing.  Thanks for registering her details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.
