were your girls speyed? In the Fossway magazine Shepton Mallet area, there are westie Xborder pups. This is not all that far from where they went missing. A lady I met the weekend I picked up the magazine, said the mum was a westie. I dont live in the area, I was staying near Glastonbury. The advertiser's telephone number is 01749 860005, might be worth a discreet look. best of luckXXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is there any more news about Kizzy and Sweep, can you name the village if not could you please email it to me. maybe I could go through the village and see if I can see anything. Has there been anymore sightings of the lady walking the two dogs ? if you need a hand to search then just say, we could do a night search if the dogs have been spotted in the last couple of days. Hello Kizzy & Sweeps owners I just want to say how sorry I am that your loving dogs are still missing. Have you had any further sightings of the Lady or reports of the dogs ? can I ask where the dogs were sighted around your area. Maybe I could keep an eye out for the dogs as I've just started my missing pets Active searchers again. I'd just like to say that I'm a dog owner myself and it break's my heart when I think about what you must be going through, my hopes and prayers are with you both and your dogs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I really hope that you see your girls someday soon. My Dolly has been missing almost seven months now and it is torture still so can understand your feelings, someone recently said to me that talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words but I for one am always heartened by people showing they care on Dollys' page and I hope that by posting on your page you will know that people do care even though they cannot be of practical help to you. If you have a picture of them both that could go on this page instead of a similar one then I could certainly try to look out for them my way as I am wiltshire too. hi to you all, well it is a year now since some-one stole our beautifull babies, it is so painfull still, in fact it is worse knowing that they could be alive and being misstreated or they could not be with us any more. i long to know where they are, whenever we are out and we see one or more westies my eyes just go all over them to see if it is our babies. they will be 5 next week another birthday we cannot share with them, why do people do this, dont they understand that people love their dogs so much. our babies were as much to us as our children. well i have to go but please dont ever stop looking for all the lost dogs, and i hope that one day all of us may find out where our dogs are gone,..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

just thought i would let you know. today we think we have spotted kizzy a sweep, we were driving through a village near to us, when we saw a lady with two westies. we drove past three times and we are sure that they are our girls, you know your dogs when you see them, we have seen plenty of westies since they were stolen and always know they are not our girls, but these were identical the way they walked, held their selves every thing, we are going back again to look. its odd because we use this road at least once a week, around the same time but today we saw these dogs. have contacted the police but waiting for a reply dont expect one though. we will endevour to find out our selves anyone living in the bratton, to earstoke area near warminster wilts please keep your eyes open thank you will let you know any further news rachael @ lesleyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

well time moves on but we still live in hope for our girls to be found. very upset today as we went to our local pet shop and the assisstant told us that two people from near the kennels where our dogs were stolen had been told that it was a set up by the owners, as if we would do this to our beloved girls,we did not know anything about the kennels before we went there ie the layout or nothing how cruel can people be, have deceided to do a article again with the local paper to re-open this case, the police have never got back to us about the finger prints or nothing as far as they are concerned its only two dogs, but they were our dogs. i feel so upset for all people who have gone through simalar things as us its the not knowing if they are okay etc. i miss them so much it hurts more now as time goes on.i will pursue with this until i find our girls, and any wrong that has been done will be paid for. my solicitor is also taking the case on, so that might help, anyway to everyone out there thank you for all your help. rachael@ lesleyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

any help you can give westbury rescue we would be gratefull. the latest from the police is that they are still awaiting finger prints ,but they say there is nothing else they can do so they are putting the file away, great our dogs are stolen, who cares . well we do and we will keep looking,as for the insurence money, yes it was paid, but what is money, that is not what we want. yes i know the police are not really interested but that is not the point,we all pay our taxes for any crime to be investagated, but something is not right about the whole situation, we have a idea and we are looking into it ,as we know some-one who knows a great deal about things that go on. the thing is the police may not be carrying on but there is a lot of people in this area and other places looking and listening. kizzy and sweep could be having puppies soon, they will appear somewhere. yes if the person who stole our dogs looks at this they will know what is going on, anyway the papers might be doing something soon for us,so that might help. anyway thank you all again for support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Again, Just wondered if had heard anything else about your two dogs, did you say on the 35th post that the insurance company was going to give you ?500 for each of the two dogs. Has anyone been in touch with you about a ransom demand, I just thought that if joe public can look at these post's then the Dog Stealer could look as well. Just as a matter of interest what happens to the insurance money after it has been paid out for the two dogs and the dogs are then found? . I'm still offering my help to you to help find your dogs, all you have to do is ask for it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

just to let you know the latest on our missing babies kizzy and sweep, appently the insurence is paynig ?500-00 per dog,but as all true dog owners know no money can replace your dogs as in our case two dogs,we are not going to rest until we find out how our dogs got stolen from these kennels, something just does not add up,everyone is saying it to us.the police are not even sure how this happened, they are completely baffled by this case, they are in contact most days checking how we are,our lives are just on hold, worring what kizzy and sweep could be going through, how anyone could do this is sick do they not relize that when people buy dogs or other animals it is because they love them and all the time they are with you it grows stronger,we just wait for the day our babies are back, then it will be then time to find out what really happened to cause all this upset to our family but most of all our babies. thank you all for your continuing support rachael @ lesleyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello Swippydo My names Tony and I run a Lost pet searching Service called Petsar, I live near the Kennels where your dogs where stolen. I'm sorry that the dogs are still missing, I went to the kennels to speak to the owners a couple of days after the dogs went missing. What area do you live in maybe I can help to do a search when you get another sighting of the dogs, this is the most baffling case I've looked into. Did you ever find out if from the Police if the dogs sighted in Dilton Marsh where dogs like yours, if you need to contact me just go to the links page and look for the petsar website link. Trust you to ask Jayne (ha ha) OK I'll if I can tell you, the unit is used when people go on shoots involving Deer but its also used by some Police Forces when a deer has been involved in a Road traffic Accident and its left the scene injuired. Its about the size of a smallish torch and it has a plastic disk on the front and three lights, the first light is red just for basic night searching, the next is three lights that come on together as a powerful torch so you don't walk into things while using it. The last setting is the best one as all three lights come on nd the red light flickers on an off very fast so you can follow Blood trails through the woodlnd area (don't ask me how it works). The main unit has different settings but the main one is the best called Automatic mode, when the unit is in this mode the computer software within the unit automatically and constantly adjusts and calibrates itself for air temperature, humidity, scanning speed, type and magnitude of the heat signal, and infrared noise and clutter from an area being scanned and looks for "Significant" heat sources. As th unit is scanned from side to side the unit trys to locate a "Significant" heat source, if multiple significant heat sources are located, the software shows only the "Most Significant" source. It has a maximon working range of about 1000 yards in open land, 300-350 yards under mature trees with light to moderate under growth and a minimum range of about 30-50 yards in thick growth (e.g., thick vegetation, corn field, ect). It can find anything from pigeon size to mongoose and even Human's. Hope this helps Jayne if your still not sure just have a look at my website www.petsar.co.uk - Boy its hard to explain it when typing. Tony.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm going out to search when it cools down later the reason for this is its easier to use the game Finder illuminator, it works better when its a lot cooler as it picks up Temperature changes. its also easier to check hedgerow with a torch at night. Thanks for asking the owner Jayne and I'll update you if anything is found. TonyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There will be a write up in the Swindon Evening Advertiser this Saturday. Also I have managed to get posters up in pubs in Swindon, Devizes and Pewsey. This weekend I will get posters to the range wardens on Salisbury Plain incase they get dumped up there.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne, I've just seen the write up in the Wiltshire Times and I'm not sure what colour the dogs are, they say that the dogs are Brown & White. On this site its says that the dogs are white, I think your right and they are wrong? I'm still waiting for the Kennels to get back in touch with me to give me permission to do a search of the area near the kennels. If you want to see what was wrote in the Wiltshire times just go to this adress http://www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk/wiltshire/westbury/news/WEST_NEWS_LOCAL3.html Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know what you mean Jayne but maybe the reason they never stole the dogs from the owners home is because it would look suspicious, I don't understand why dogs and other pets get stolen. I'm just waiting for the go ahead from the kennels to see if I can do a search of the area around the kennel, we have a big Industrial Estate near to the kennels. It gets busy with a traffic at times and if the dogs have been dumped nearby theres a possibility that the Dog or dogs might be somewhere within the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is a funny one-why target just those 2 dogs? They left the puppy which was in the same kennel-surely the puppy would have been easier to sell on-or have they done it to demand a ransome-again why steal them from a kennels surely it would have been easier to steal them in their own back garden-not sure what the motive is-especially as the owner is away. Hopefully all the publicity will mean the dogs are dumped.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne, I was wrong about the puppy farm as its been closed for 4 years. I've just spoken to the kennel owners they told me what happened, the thiefs took a real chance by stealing these two dogs. If they get any sightings I've asked them to contact me so I can go out and search the area where they were last spotted. Hopefully we'll hear from the thiefs soon and the two dogs will be reunited with the rightfull owners. Tony.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne sorry its taken this long to get back in touch, yes I know the Kennel its only down the road. I can't understand why someone would steal dogs from the kennels, as down the same road on the opposite side is a puppy farm. Has the owner been in touch with Petsearch UK as they have a volunteer for the westbury area. I don't want to contact the kennel Jayne it may be to much for them, I'd be grateful if you could give them my number then they can contact me if thats what they want to do. I'll print the posters off tonight and post them around the Westbury area. I'll keep logging on to keep myself updated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is a Exhibition in Trowbridge ( 5 miles away from Westbury) next Thursday 9th and they have agreed to put the posters on there meet and greet desk. They are expecting over 2,000 local people to turn up. Also I have spoken with the editor of the Swindon Evening Advertiser who has agreed to run a news story on these dogs. I will put up posters tonight in West Lavington, Market lavington and Easterton and parts of Devizes. Friday I will cover Devizes. Also I will contact local gypsies who I know to see if they can help. I have also e-mailed a poster to the editor of The Wiltshire Times which covers that area however it may be to late for this weeks paper. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
