A wonderful outcome - I'm so pleased that Angel will be back home very soon with her owner. I can't help but wonder what story 'Ann' was told about Angel's circumstances... still it doesn't really matter now we've got the result we were looking for. And, great teamwork everyone especially all the Sheltie folk!!!

Update: from name given which of course We cannot put on website...owner has been able to track an address and will be writing to Ann to explain what has happened.  Thank you again to the Sheltie lot for spreading the word so quickly...lets hope this situation can be resolved independently and successfully. At this point Doglost has to back out....we only track dogs ( and very  quickly with your help! ) Okay on to the next one!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have had a call to HQ re a possible match. Thanks everyone.  It does appear this lady has no idea of  the circumstances behind Angel. So tact and diplomacy needed now....So I had better call in a co-ordinator then LOL!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Re comments "last i n line" - Lots of training classes in wiltshire, Shelties are often show dogs, maybe we should be looking at Ringcraft classes?  Just a thought.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in Wiltshire have forwarded to people I know on the off chance.
I guess a search has been done on the internet for dog tranning classes in Wiltshire...often Vets, Dog Grooming Parlours, Pet Shops  hold such details or there may be a card on the notice board?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It would be very helpful if the lady's friend could supply more info about this.  Can someone let us know if the rescue lady is from 'sheltie rescue' or another one? Has 'Ann' told the rescue her surname?!!!!!! Seems a bit strange to rehome a dog knowing so little about where she has gone and to whom?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh and she mentioned something about this lady in Wiltshire doing dog training classes?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The lady is from Huntingdon cambridgeshire and her dogs were staying with an elderly friend. It was a friend of hers in rescue  that  thought 3 dogs may be too much for her after being in hospital so she agreed if good homes could be found for the other two a Blue merle bitch and a tri colour dog then she would consider them. She stipulated Angel must stay with her as she is the last in her line. On coming out of hospital she went to the friends house and she just had the other 2 Shelties.   She wrote a letter to the rescue person and she phoned back saying she had been rehomed to a lady called Ann in Wiltshire. The lady has written letters to the newspapers in Wiltshire appealing for more info.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I presume that 'someone' has rehomed this girl then, whilst her owner was in hospital ( not knowing about it ! ) and we are now trying to trace a lady in Wiltshire ,called Ann, who now has her ? Was this sheltie living in Wiltshire to begin with ? Has anyone been able to contact whoever did the rehoming ? ( who did the rehoming then ?? ).   Word is going around the sheltie world now - it's on several forums.   Any more advice would be appreciated , just to help clarify.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just posted details on the 'sheltie list' (yahoo group) and asked if anyone might know who this is. Who did the rehoming - do they have any idea who the lady is? Seems strange!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Rehomed to someone when owner was in hospital. All she knows is its someone called Ann from Wiltshire. This person may not know the circumstances.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
