Family pup reunited after being stolen 8 months previously!

Female Cocker Spaniel Jazz was stolen from a secure garden just over the border of wales on the 27th April 2022.

When Jazz went missing, her owner Emma immediately got in contact with the amazing volunteers at Doglost & made a missing poster for jazz. Within 5 minutes of finishing the poster online she had a phone call from a man who said he had jazz & led her to believe he had found her. It turned out that he didn’t have her at all and he was a hoax caller!

Jazz’s poster was shared to as many Facebook lost dog or local groups as Emma could find all over the country & trawled through all the selling websites daily looking for her.

There were a few false alarms where pictures were sent to her owners, looking like jazz & they even visited somewhere as they had a dog that looked very much like her in a picture on a website for sale! Unfortunately on arrival they could see straight away it wasn’t her. The ups and downs continued for the coming months.

Then on New Year’s Day this year Emma had a phone call on her landline number. As most landline calls were usually hoax calls, they always googled the number. On this occasion it came up as the St George's Vets hospital in Wolverhampton!

When the receptionist said I’ll put you through to the vet, Jazz's owners started to get a bit excited & when the vet told them that we had her she broke down. Emma couldn’t believe it! All that time! They got in the car straight away to collect her.

We were able to share that a lovely ambulance lady had found jazz in the back of her ambulance. The family have since spoken to her and shared their unbelievable story. They will always be grateful to her for bringing her in. You can see how happy she looks at being back at home with her family.

Emma and the family wishes to thank all the staff at St George’s for looking after jazz & getting her back home.

This was only possible with the correct management of microchipping. PLEASE, PLEASE, remember that if any of your contact details ever change, such as address and/or telephone numbers, to inform your microchip supplier straight away. We see too many strays come through our doors that when scanned, the contact details are out of date.

We love to see happy endings, however long it takes 😍

St George's Vets thanks for sharing her lovely reunion on fb. Well done Emma for having chip details up to date. It is so sad daily to see dogs being found and chip details not registering or out of date. Thanks a million to the ambulance driver and everyone who made her homecoming happen. Welcome home gorgeous Jazz you are one of the lucky ones.

WE HAVE GOT HER!!! On our way home!! X someone dumped her in an ambulance & ambulance person took her to vets this morning! X they left their details and said they would like to adopt her if owner wasn’t found! Some kind people out there! We would like to thank Mazzy Roberts Lily Trueman & all the other volunteers at doglost! U are amazing all of u!! Would also like to say we appreciate & thank u all from the bottom of hearts for sharing posters, putting up posters & generally being there when I was a mess! Big thank you to u all xx 1st January 2023.

Poster on Doglost Wales New has been changed to read:
‼️ JAZZ HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO STOLEN.
It is believed she was taken from her secure kennel at home, in Kinnerton, Presteigne, Powys LD8 area since Wednesday, 27th April, 2022‼️
Police are investigating and CCTV is being checked at the time Jazz was taken. If you have her contact the dog warden, or take her to any vet. Owner is heartbroken and needs her lovely girl home safe, where she belongs.
