Had a call from this lovely boys finder who has worked so hard in trying to find his owner, no-one has claimed him which is unbelievable as he is so well behaved.  Finder is now giving him a forever home but said if his owner does come forward Charlie can go back to his owner.  Thanks so much for keeping us updated.   Well done and good luck for the future together with Charlie.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

He looks the sort of dog who def has an owner looking for him.  So much depends on how they describe the missing one and then for others description of the found one to do a match.  I feel sure his owner is out there looking for him.   he looks like a loved dog. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have received a proper pic of this lovely boy via finders neighbour (thank you).  Finder is still trying to find his owner and says he is a lovely boy and someone must be missing him.  We do not have a Cross Retriever in our breed list so have put it in the name section. Will email the details to Cheshire & Manchester Dog's Home.  Would be great if his owners could be found.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to finder a few times and again today.  His owner has still not been found, finder has bent over backwards to find his owners.  Well done for taking the time, you have been a star.  Finder's friend now has a missing dog, who I've now registered on DL today Buzz ID 17823.   Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to finder they have still not found his owner and have advertised him.  Flatcoat Rescue have called out and described him as possibly a Lab/Collie cross, finder said he does look very much like a Flatcoat.  If owner is not found they are going to keep him, he is a lovely boy.  Finder is still going to try and send a photo by mobile as does not have Internet access.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to the finder who does not have Internet access.  Thay are doing a brilliant job trying to find his owner and looking after him.  All the relevant people have been informed and he has been checked for a Chip, I've asked them to check for a tattoo which they have now done.  Finder has been back to the area where he was found and asked around.  Have given further advice on other things to do.  Finder will try and send a mobile phone picture but may not be set up for picture messaging at the moment. I've contacted Flatcoat Rescue and passed the details on, was given the Rescue number by NW Golden Retriever Rescue, thank you to both Rescues for being very helpful.  Spoken to finder again and passed Rescue number on.  Well done for taking the time to look after him and all you are doing.  Fingers crossed his owner is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
