Went down today and postered lamposts and shops/pub around Manor Park  spoke to a few people and gave flyers out, before going back up to Norfolk Park area and walked where Fudge has been spotted.   No sightings personally ---but spoke to one dog owner who thinks might have seen him a couple of days ago in Norfolk park. As I headed home I postered  (  1 last lamp post )on Manor Lane which immediatley drew attention of a 4 x 4 that pulled up and got out and came over to me to say there had been a JRT ( Poss cross ) hit by a car a couple of streets up on Friday night. I drove up to the area and knocked on door of house to find it was one of the people who had attended to the injured dog which has been taken to PDSA Attercliffe, Sheffield     I rang owner to inform her to check it out but it turned out NOT to be Fudge after  Fudges owner rang and checked . In one respect it is good news that Fudge isnt injured but also now means that Fudge is still missing after 16 days , AND there is a poor injured JRT   /   JRT CROSS at  the PDSA Sheffield with no owner at the moment.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If Fudge is in this locality, is it worth scenting.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fudge's owner has had another call with sightings of Fudge again around the Donnington Road area on Sunday. What a pity he didnt show when we were there  on Sunday !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We went over to Sheffield yesterday to help Fudge's owner along with Helen (Furlover co ordinator for Yorkshire). We did more postering and handed out flyers. Many more of the local people are now aware of this little chap. We had another confirmed sighting of Fudge in the gardens of Donnington Road by a resident who saw him in his garden over 3 days last week but thought he was a dog visiting his neighbours and getting through to his garden as at the time he was unaware of Fudge. He has since seen the posters and confirms this WAS Fudge. Also a man walking in the park saw a small light coloured dog running on his own in the park on Friday. This dog dodged under some gates into a special school and was later seen further up in the park disappearing into a wilder part of the park where there is a small stream. During the afternoon yesterday Fudge's owner got a call of a sighting in City Road near the cemetry which is just up the Road from Donnington Rd. We all rushed up there but he had vanished. Within this area there are many alleys that he could be getting around very quickly from one place to another. I do so hope this little boy is found soon xx Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Rachel ! Sadly we do need more sightings of little Fudge before we can  leave a trap and as yet none since Thursday. If he was to return to to some of the gardens he was seen in on Thursday I am sure there are several gardens that the owners would be willing to have a trap left in as everyone we spoke to there were very nice, concerned, caring people  but in one of the areas he was sighted I dont think we would be able to safely leave a trap.So i hope he is staying away from there ! If a trap is needed for Fudge, I have one. Also know how to set it up. there needs to be an established place where Fudge is known to be going and feeding before putting up a trap. Happy to help if needed Rachel Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

went to Sheffield today and met up with Fudge's owner. We walked the area he went missing in ............a very large park and also the areas he was sighted in this week next to the park. Did some more postering, handed out flyers and asked around locally. We still only have the sightings of him in the Donnington Road area on Wednesday and Thursday of this week but were also told of a sighting of him in the same area on Tuesday. All the sightings were of him running in and out of peoples gardens which suggests he was looking for food. Lots of places round here he could be hiding up in !! There have been no more sightings of Fudge since the ones we had yesterday. The food the owner left out has been eaten but we dont know if it may have been eaten by a fox. His owner is out now walking through the park looking for him and is going to put some more posters up further afield. If he is not found by tomorrow I will travel over to help. x Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

yes Alfmar I was thinking along those lines too ! lets see if anymore sightings in this area come in today. Also need to find out if the owners of one of the gardens will be willing to have a trap placed there.  will speak to the owner later about it. Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fudge's owner has called me tonight as Fudge has been SIGHTED today and yesterday in the Norfolk Park area. He will not let anyone get near him and at the moment is in an area away from the traffic but if scared he could run in the direction of a busy road ! His present owner had only had him a couple of days when he ran off and his previous owners went over to help when the sightings came in but by the time they arrived Fudge had vanished. If we have any helpers in the area can they PLEASE contact Fudges' owner to see if they can help her to get this boy back. Food has been left for him where he was sighted and I have advised that they ask the previous owners to do some scenting. everything crossed here that this boy is reunited very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been no further sightings of Fudge at all. His owners have been to check at the local pound and I have advised they keep checking there regularly. They have been postering and have been returning to the area he ran off in. Hoping to see this boy back home very soon xx Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
