(There is a petition somewhere about the dangers of swimming pools, one of my old girls fell in even with the canvas top on but she managed to get her self out as there was steps at one end and she was a good swimmer, she then took her self off to the owners front door shivering with fright and thankfully they brought her home!!!!)

owner - spent hour or so looking and shouting but no joy, contacted dog warden in case they could get there before me because it is at least on hour from where we live but they had no joy either.  Call came in from two different people who had seen dog and then the posters.  Angus shouldn't need a cage unless something has happened to him, he is an exceptionally friendly dog and unless someone tries to get him by the scruff of the neck (which he strongly objects to) he is quite happy to be handled.

Have talked to DW re this sighting.  She is aware of Angus missing.  The same day of this sighting another little black dog was picked up in this area so it MAY be mistaken as Angus.  Won't rule out 100% though but thought it best to say.  There are lots of posters us so hopefull we will get more calls.

For 'helpers' following up the sighting of a Scottie (hopefully Angus) - as far as I am aware another missing Scottie - Jock (ID 17378) - missing since 21 Feb 09 - still hasn't been found, and may well be anywhere in the country.  Could Jock have "found" his way to this area?  As we know dogs are often found miles from home.

Do hope this little Scottie is found and caught soon.  You may need a humane cage trap if he won't come to anyone in which case we may be able to help.  It would need to be collected and manned.  If it is Angus, that is wonderful.  If not and he is caught please let JMO, Badger or me know jmicollier@aol.com so he can be rehomed by STECS with a Scottie lover.

If you do get another sighting of a scottie in the Mangotsfield area, myself and doglover live very very near there and would be more than happy to go and look if we are able.  LynnL area co-ord N Dorset has our numbers.  I hope this little chap is found very soon.

So hoping this sighting turns out to be Angus, and he can be re-united with his family.  If it isn't Angus I hope the little dog can be caught and taken to a place of safety.  Fingers crossed - just wish I lived nearer to help.

Well done Badger and thanks for alerting me to the two missing Scotties (separate areas).  I'm so sorry little Angus is missing and do hope he will be safely home very soon.  What a lovely little boy!  I have alerted the Scottish Terrier Club (England) - hopefully it's not too late for publication of their yearbook where he can be included.  Also Scottish Terrier Breeders & Exhibitors Assn.  Poster everywhere, and hope owners can update his page here to let helpers know how they can assist in the search for him.  Stay safe little boy. xx

Sorry your lovely boy is missing . What are the circumstances?. Worth contacting local farmers and hunts, The Berkely and The Beaufort. Poster like mad in all public places you can think of if any one has taken him in,  this will make him too hot too handle If I can think of anyone in that area Ill contact them, good luck

I have notified Scottie Rescue (www.stecs.net) and the STECS Re-homing officer for Gloucestershire, as well as including Angus on www.scottiedoglovers.co.uk .  I hope someone has found Angus, and is taking good care of him, until he is re-united with his family.
