Amberpaws, I'm sure you don't need to apologise at all, what you were doing is what we all do, that's what Doglost is all about.   More than once, in fact even just recently, dogs have been reunited by helpers on here doing just what you've been doing, there's always a chance you could have been right, so don't stop!   And I must say I really did have to keep checking, these two dogs are very similar indeed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I?m so sorry for stirring all this up. I haven?t been a regular on this site for long so didn?t fully realise how absolutely thorough & dedicated everyone is.  Just wanted to help if I could... Wishing DeeDee a brilliant new life & really hoping Meg is found soon. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Meg's owner has checked out this dog, and it definitely isn't her girl.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, We already have Meg listed on our Valgrays site, and obviously check out markings as much as we can from photos. I am sure the owners of Meg check our site regularly too, as they contacted us about Meg.  It is our opinion that DeeDee is not Meg. Firstly her ears are set very differently, DeeDee has more white on her back legs and finally her eye damage .. it has been there a long time .. certainly longer than last August.  It would be lovely to reunite Meg.  DeeDee was checked for microchip at pound and by us, none found. We dearly hope that Meg will be found soon ... all good wishes go to her owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am pretty sure that Meg has obvious Tri colour in her and this one hasn't.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have studied these pictures over and over again.  Dee Dee is so similar to Meg, but I now don't think they are the same dog.   The white blaze on Meg's head is slightly narrower and Dee Dee has more distinctive black spots in different positions on her nose to Meg.   However, I was still undecided until I compared their ears, which are actually quite different from each other.   Only my opinion, others may think differently, and yes, chips can definitely be missed.  Perhaps Meg's owner could check.   Whoever you are, have a happy future, you are a lovely dog xx

I've had a look at all her pics on Valgrays & her markings are so similar to 14866 - even the one white leg & blaze.  But Meg was microchipped - can they dislodge or be missed?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's wonderful that DeeDee is reserved but before she goes to her new home, I just wondered if there is any possibility of a different photo after her bath please. As you say there are so many missing Collies & there just might be a match like there was for JEB.  Many thanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

DeeDee (as we have called her as she was covered in Deisel when found) is with us.  She has a nasty eye injury and we are currently trying to raise funds to pay for the eye to be removed. She also seems very heavy for a neglected dog .. we are just hoping she is not also pregnant!  Anyway, she is already reserved to hopefully live in a wonderful property with 20 acres!  So she is moved to reunited.  If anyone would like to help contribute to DeeDees care, please visit our website for more details .. http://valgraysbcrescue.webs.com/newdogs.htm  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

At the present time no one has come forward for this poor girl, who also has a bad injury.  Valgrays are taking her on Monday 9th March if no one comes forward.  We will then be fund raising for the operation to get her back to full health. www.valgraysbcrescue.webs.com Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
