I am delighted to say that Alfie is home at last, after living feral in the same area for all that time. His people built a cage trap and caught him. He has lost a lot of weight but is recovering well.

Owner you registered Alfie again today, the mobile number has now been added to this page and the duplicated page deleted.  New photo/s added to show on the DL Poster.  Do you want the landline number leaving on or removing?  Can you please check Alfie's page regularly as helpers are still looking for him on other sites etc.  You can leave an update by logging in and selecting  Add a comment   it would also be very helpful if you keep us updated on what has been done to find him and any sightings etc.  Good luck and hope you find your lovely boy soon.  Thanks doglover for cross checking other sites.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to carer for an update.  Alfie is still in the woods, been sighted by the DW, carer and locals.  A trap was put out by the DW but was needed elsewhere. Carer is doing all the right things trying to get Alfie.  Have given further advice.  Carer is going to try a BBQ.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

First sighting last night in near by woodlands, owner and carer both saw Alfie but Alfie backed away. Scenting instructions given..sighting only 500 yards from the house.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Aww I've only recently come across this breed and love their looks.  I saw one on the ManyTears rescue (based near Llanelli) website a couple of months back.  He/She has been rehomed now.  Don't know whether it would be worth contacting them?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Alfie was in the Echo yesterday and will be going in another paper later in the week. Owner is working very hard with lots of posters up and people notified. Alfie shot out of the front door but she is scenting the area with her other dogs and Alfie's blanket.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
