Sad update and tribute from family member Sarah via FB:
"Dexter has been found only 500m away from where he went in its not how we wanted him to be found he has crossed the rainbow bridge and is running free up there and having a blast im sure ! we have been to collect him from the lovely man who found him and he is now home with us thank you to everyone who has done anything at all to help and all the lovely comments thank you from us all xx SLEEP TIGHT MY LITTLE MAN mam and dad live you xxxx"

I have shared owner's post to DogLost Cumbria and Workington Cumbria FB groups.
Further appeals and offers of help on Sarah Gamble's FB timeline.
A safe search was planned for early this morning at low tide.
Suggestion from Lifeboat crew member and others that current may have carried him north to Maryport/Allonby/Mawbray areas.
Have posted to cummunity tab at Maryport Inshore Rescue, Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team and Maryport News FB pages with request to share.
