How strange Shirley that no one has come forward. I'm sure she won't be waiting for a home for very long, she sounds like an absolute delightful girl.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly no one has come forward to claim Jezz, so she is now up for rehoming.  As at 31/01/09 she is still available to the right home. Please see our website for more details on her (see new dogs page) and our adoption conditions. www.valgraysbcrescue.webs.com Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you for those good ideas .. we will check to see if there were any accidents in that area where she was found.  We have had alot of enquiries about her already, so we are sure she won't be waiting for a new forever home for long. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It does seem very strange she is not being searched for!! two thoughts- a bit way off- but which came to mind. Dog could have been travelling in a vehicle which was in a RTA and escaped. Concentration would be on the drivers etc and maybe no thoughts as yet of finding a dog if indeed it was known they had one with them. if there is no immediate family and this person very ill then no one would know.  Dog could have been in transit and escaped. Where is nearest air port that handles international flights for dogs?? We have known of cases where they have been lost by these carriers. What a shame no chip has been found.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you very much DogMother your help is much appreciated.  'Jezz' has been crossposted across the internet to loads of dog and training related forums. We just can't believe someone isn't out there screaming out 'where is my darling dog' because that is exactly what she is .. its all very odd.  If no one comes forward we will put up Jezz for rehoming in the coming week.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went on dogtheftaction web site and picked out all the search sites they suggested. Heres the list : Petsearch UK, web site no longer working
LostLabs - labs only so she will not be on there
Lost Doggies, She’s not listed as lost, so I have added her as found.
Lurcher Search Not listed so I’ve emailed her details to them
Pethunters She wasn’t on there, so I have emailed them and asked them to list her.
Dog Lost You added her yesterday
Pawtrax No dog slisted so it’s not going to be worth listing on there. Too new
Missing Pets Bureau not listed, so emailed
Battersea Reunite Not listed, so emailed them.
Petfinder Online Only want to know about dogs registered and have their fob on them. If they loose their fob, they don’t want to know
Animal Search UK Couldn’t work out how to search on that site so emailed them with details anyway.
Is ther an obedience competition type thing that might show her photo in a competition somewhere? The german and english finish means nothing to me. Is it just a style or could she be a german dog?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for logging her on site Shirley. Surely someone must have lost this talented girl !!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This dog does not seem like your 'average' stray .. she has been obedience trained, and does various obedience type exercises.  Has anyone lost such a dog recently, or in the past?  Please note that the 'found' date may not be correct.  Please contact Valgrays Border Collie Rescue on 01883 624513 if you have any information about this dog.  Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
